I agree with the father, not out of revenge or anger but out of justice and logic. The fact that he was nine and apologetic doesn't exempt him from making a poor, criminal, and unfortunately harmful decision. He needs to be properly disciplined. 2 days of community service and a virtually nonexistent probation sentence seems inadequate. I'm not trying to give him a death sentence or even a prison term. But I think that the should add more to his sentence. Maybe some juve time, maybe some classes on the dangers of guns, or maybe some more service hours?
