They don't hear you bruh... They need something to justify being a weaker console for 100.00 more

here is my justification....I'm gettin money nigga...

What's your justification for buying a ps3 with polished graphics on top of charging you to play online now?

"Tech sites" consider all consoles a joke, period. Please, just get a Power PC or miss me with this "but but...GDDR5, but 50 percent!!" nonsense.

PlayStation Brings on Rackspace Talent to Help With “OpenStack Private Cloud Deployment” August 9, 2013 Written by Sebastian Moss

The ‘power of the cloud’ has been quoted numerous times by both Microsoft and Sony as we get closer to the launch of the Xbox One and PS4. Much of the debate has focused on Microsoft’s assertion that the cloud will make the Xbox One noticeably more powerful, but many have disputed it, while Sony has said that it is possible, but limited. Meanwhile, other important cloud features include Microsoft’s cheap dedicated servers for developers – which we want on PS4 – cloud saves, and, of course, Sony’s Gaikai cloud game streaming.

So, as you can see, ‘the cloud’ will be very important next gen, which is why today’s news that PSLS has uncovered is so interesting.

Rackspace – the open cloud company that recently announced plans to partner with CERN on cloud computing – will be helping Sony out with their PlayStation cloud plans.

Lanham Napier, CEO of Rackspace, said in an earnings call (transcribed by SeekingAlpha) that Sony is now an “enterprise customer” for the company, continuing: "Sony PlayStation recently signed a services agreement with Rackspace, under which our developers and architects will be consulting and supporting the PlayStation team with their OpenStack private cloud deployment."

Elsewhere he said: "We are the Founder and a key leader of the OpenStack cloud ecosystem, and we are the leader in providing OpenStack-based private clouds."

OpenStack is a cloud computing project to “provide an infrastructure as a service”, jointly created by Rackspace and NASA, with it’s website saying: "OpenStack is a global collaboration of developers and cloud computing technologists producing the ubiquitous open source cloud computing platformfor public and private clouds. The project aims to deliver solutions for all types of clouds by being simple to implement, massively scalable, and feature rich."

The scale of Sony’s cloud plans have yet to be seen, but are you excited that Sony is bringing on one of the cloud industry’s best companies to help?

Rackspace Hosting Management Discusses Q2 2013 Results - Earnings Call Transcript:http://seekingalpha.com/article/1621...+PlayStation

So, Sony is in the beginning stages of a third party partnership...according to something mentioned briefly and translated on an earnings call that Sony wasn't even on?

Meanwhile, M$ is at least 3 years into their wholly owned and operated cloud computing service, Azure, that they (as well as big third parties) are already talking about openly and promoting heavily.

Yea, its the same.

And I don't know when cloud computing became solely about "OMG betta graphixz". Only people still stuck in the mindset of "bits" and "blast processing" think that, but there are definite benefits to it.

It's not that, and never has been that. It's been stated from the beginning from all sides that better graphics wasn't really a target of Cloud computing.

You guys haven't seen the articles devs have been making about the one? Go to game spots message boards the Xbox one is a much weaker console.... It's just facts...

You know what's funny is Microsoft pays devs to say good things about their console... It's funny how some of you guys ignore the shit Microsoft does. Ill probably get a one when the price drops.

I can't play The Last of Us on PC

So John Carmack the GOAT says the systems are more or less the same in specs, and naggas really gon act like that statement don't mean nothin? Hanh?

WTF? Bruh, this is JOHN CARMACK we talking about.

smh shit is like dismissing DJ Premier opinion on East Coast sample-based hip-hop lmao

Let's all be honest though...in terms of reputation/history Sony has the upper hand. I'm not a fanboy I think competition is good for the consumer, i've owned both systems and PS3 comes out on top which is why i'm coppin the PS4.

I've owned both the 360 and PS3 and looking at both systems objectively, it's clear that PS3 was the better choice for this console generation. 360 not only had red ring of death, but scratched up every disc I put in it, noisy as fuck, no wifi and was released with the rrod manufacturers flaw that Microsoft was aware of prior to shipping its consoles yet did nothing until consumers began complaining.

PS3 was significantly quieter, had blu ray, wifi AND some of the best exclusives.

PS3 was the Lambo of gaming consoles, 360 was the Ford focus.

I'm not trying to start a debate, just making the point that even if the price and specs for the Xbox one and PS4 were exactly the same across the board, I would still go with Sony based off of their history compared to Microsoft.

Plus, call me paranoid, but I have a feeling Microsoft is secretly subsidized by the government which is why they were so adamant on pushing the always online thing, I think once it's out for a couple of years they'll probably try to reincorporate those stipulations into the system again.

I can see the parallels between him and Premo... Both made a mark in there respect genre... Now get praise for what they did but not what they're doing.

Bruh, John Carmack gets royalties off of Call of Duty to this day because the engine for that game is based on id Tech 3 (Quake III Arena). He's also the Chief Technology Officer for Oculus Rift.

Microsoft is cheap and used shitty parts on their console...

Ps3 is only good for exclusives .. it lacks in the social gaming aspect.. ps4 will finally fix that.. there won't be any true front runners in the next gen console wars until like 3 years in.. cuz right now its just what u would prefer to buy... but the snap core alone got me sold on the xbone first. Ill cop a ps4 once a dope exclusive drops

yeah I wasnt expecting anything mind blowing but it was pretty plain. The vita stuff they showed was great, and at least theres a PS4 release date though. I may decide to go with a xbone down the line after all if a high caliber game like Europe is getting comes with it in the US.
