dude gonna be an Architect

they make serious money

and the top architects make NFL money atleast

some folks jus dont know

its more than jus building the local starbucks or some shit

leading architects be designing sculptures in foreign countries that have the budgets of skyscrapers

This dude is not going to be making NFL money being an architect, lets get that straight. Thats just straight bullshit. Frank Ghery who is at the top of that profession took home $500K in 2006 and that was his peak.

He's probably afraid of success/failure.

He's already the man where he is. When he goes to the NFL, #1 Pick or not he's back to being a rookie who has to live up to expectations on a terrible team.

The Panthers aint winning shit, even next year. He probably knows that and would rather continue to olive it up being the big man in the smaller pond instead of a hyped up small fish in a pond full of losers.

Maybe he knows if he stays healthy he'll still make plenty money when he gets out of college anyway.

thats what I think. and if he's not mentally ready to immediately be a starting nfl qb, then i'm glad he didn't end up on my team

I'm saying if he wants to stay in Stanford, then yes...he should stay there. I'm not seeing the problem with ti.

People are saying "he's gonna lose out on money" and they act like he doesn't know that is a possibility but if he doesn't care about that aspect then why not stay another year in college?

Not seeing why this is a big deal from a financial stand point to people...its not like he's coming out having to prove something by leaving college early so he can feed his family and extended family...if he wants to stay I don't have a problem with it

Panthers = NFL version of Nas

Not seeing how this is an education issue...

How many underclassmen QB with only 2 years experience succeed? Also with the impending labor strike, it's possible rookies won't have the same amount of time to prepare for the 2011 season. Add in the fact that his family is well off and his own personal aspirations and it was a good choice.

As far as the money, 80% of nfl players are broke within 5 yrs of retiring because they have no concept of finance. What good is making $50 mil per year if your expenses are $51 mill. He'll be in the league next year and will be better off with another college under his belt.

All y'all talkin that "education is more important" shit... You do realize that going to the NFL only means he can't PLAY FOOTBALL at Stanford? He will still be enrolled until he graduates or stops paying tuition.

Meaning... he can get $50 million AND still get that fancy Stanford Architecture degree.

Niggas just like to be contrarian.

He really can't lose unless he gets a career ending injury he'll still be the #1 pick in 2012 he's in the same position Bradford was the year before. Bradford went back to school got hurt and was still the #1 pick
