He's the president of America in GENERAL so I see nothing wrong with his statement.
What folks have to realize is that that comment wasn't for Black folks. IT was for white folks to assure them that Black people were going to receive no special treatment, and you know what he's lived up to that word. Hispanics, Jews, and homosexuals he didnt say that to and has made every overture to give them special consideration.
