i actually had a pair of those "roos" (not the football spikes tho, the regular sneaker version)
i remember i got them cause me and my best friend at that time had just led our pee wee football team to our respective superbowl and won it. so my mom delivered as promised. when the season started both of us wanted number 34 but neither one of us could fit the shirt, so our coach just gave us random numbers LOL, from there all we could do is mimmick every payton move we possibly could and try to do it in games and practices lol
we would tape our spikes exactly how payton did on his football cards before our games
we would steal hand towels from our parents bathroom, take a magic marker, and make those towels that said "sweetness" then hang them from the front of our pants (shit would always come out tho cause we were so small our pants didnt really fit LOL)
ironically we lost only one game that year just like the 85 bears (wasnt 85 tho it was years later). that was the only game that year that my best friend didnt play in. i only scored once and we lost 12 - 6
funny how time flies because now i can look back at something like this. and i ended up coaching his son a couple years ago. this was just a year after my childhood friend passed from a gun shot wound to the head.
thats why i had this thread stickied from the last platform and this one, because these powerful black images are what inspires the greatness that we are, and reminds us why we are here and what our goals actually are
