im looking at this pic of them suits and im thinking about the gi joe movie for some reason

That's cause the costume designer behind GI Joe designed these. It has a decent group of writers behind it so it should be decent.

Power Rangers is the only series that can give you superheroes (Marvel), giant robots (Transformers) and dinosaurs (Jurassic World) all in one. On top of being a long running, established franchise with a loyal fanbase. On paper, this movie should make billions.

Ehhhh I don't know about billions unlike Transformers I don't think adults care as much about Power Rangers.

Not sure why you would feel this way? Power Rangers started in 1993, this movie drops next year. Thats a 24 year difference. If you were 7, 8, 9, 10 years old...when it started, you are now in your early to mid 30's and probably have a kid.

Transformers started in 1984. The first live action movie dropped in 2007. Thats a 23 year difference. Its not hard to see the blueprint. Powers Rangers has the potential, and clearly wants to be, this generations Transformers.

People trying to rewrite history like Power rangers wasn't a phenomenon that influenced a generation of children.

The shit got 2 movies for a reason

...and still is. Unlike Transformers, Power Rangers never stopped.

Neither did Transformers really. There were a shit ton of animes and a gen 2 tv series. Then came Beast Wars which had as dedicated a fanbase as the original series. Then there was Armada and it's follow ups.

This isn't fucking up your childhood.... Bryan Singer has claimed that throne..

I'll give power rangers a chance

Am I the only one calling bullshit on the Iron Man comparisons?

Just because they're both in armored suits don't mean they look alike.

That crash test dummy one is lightweight disrespectful seeing that Thuy Trang died in a car accident...

Of course it's gonna "look better" it's no longer footage from the 1980s. It's like 30 years later.

I won't be seeing this cause Power Rangers never really meant shit to me and seeing people all nostalgic for it makes me laugh. I watched the first 3 seasons and the movie in the 90s like any other 10 to 11 year old and that was enough. I'll keep waiting for a Voltron joint.
