Y'all are missing the point:

Unless @Cain is ready to drop 40 large on a car he ain't gettin away from a note on that 6-series. Since he's already stated that he's enjoying the car note-less life I figured I'd throw up a decent BMW for around $10K-$15K, which he's more likely to have on hand. Truthfully, there's a grip of dope ass German cars he could have in that price range (including some 911's) but I'm partial to the E46 and E36 M3's so that's what I posted.

I thought @Cinco and @"EmM HoLLa." said that the N63B44TU (V8) engine had it's issues. Or was that just for the 2012's??

And @Cain, I've been watching that car and teetering on gettin' it. Beautiful whip, but like the guys are saying, make sure you have an extended warranty if u decide to pull the trigger!

Naw fam... @Cain if you don't want a car note just save up and buy what you want. Do not cop no 03 m3.

that 10-15k will turn to 30k quick aint shit cheap on that car. And if any issues go on its not gonna be cheap either

@MallyG Those engines do have some issues. The one I had never had any issues.. But still having a warranty can give you the peace of mind needed to own the car. A friend of mine is dealing with a drive train error on a 650 vert. BMWNA knows about it.. I assume if it's a fatal issue they'll give him a new engine or switch him out into a new car. If your car isn't under warranty the odds of something like that happening is unlikely..

Yeah it was the 2012's v8. BMW called it a "customer care package," but fancy word for a recall.

It was fixed in 2013

@Cain is old enough to remember the first Model T and how you could fix it with hand tools and sweat. He should be able to twist a wrench to fix most things.

As long as you're handy with the tools, repairs shouldn't be that bad. Shit, I used to fix shit on my ML500 when we had it. Wasn't too much different from working on an American car. Just all metric tools and some little odd shit.

It aint even about being handy. Parts on a BMW are no joke and it takes a lot of knowledge to work on a car like that not everyone can. I mean a fucking oil change is $150 for that car. And you only need to put "BMW" coolant in the car.

Best way to get a BMW is leasing a brand new one where the maintenance and warranty are covered for as long as the lease.

Agree 100%..

Second best way is to buy used with a bmw CPO and sell before the CPO warranty runs out.. CPO=Certified Pre Owned..

CPO is good but they don't tell you that the warranty that comes with it is limited and doesnt cover everything.

An oil change on an E46 cost so much because 1. It's a BMW and if you won't do it yourself you'r gonna get fleeced, 2. It just takes a little longer to do, but it's not difficult. The one thing it needs out of the ordinary is a torque wrench because you have to drop two belly pans in order to get to the drain plug and those pans have to be put back up with proper torque applied to the bolts.

BMW Coolant??? BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHA! If y'all don't stop that shit! I swear they see some of y'all comin' a mile away. Get you some Zerex G-05 and bottles of distilled water from Walmart and change your coolant out fam. I used that stuff in my Benz and it's good for BMW and Porsche (which I found out while scoping out 944 Turbos and 986 Boxsters a few years ago though Havoline DexCool extended life seems to be the coolant of choice for Boxsters).

Y'all niggas funny, they let me keep over night. Taking it back later this evening. The joint rolled smooth as fuck and it was clean as fuck. The interior looked a little worn but not too bad. I took it for a ride in the country when I went to see my family back home.

The ride was smooth no issues at all and the suspension handled those fucked up country roads without issue only thing I didn't really care for was road noise but it wasn't too bad. This isn't a everyday car it's a weekend or an occasion driver at the least which is cool.

If they're taking right I may cop it. It's not a must have for me so if they don't budge it's cool.

Ionno... I got a different idea of what I'm doing on the weekends... I'd take one of these for a weekend car.

Me and the missus riding out somewhere, maybe out to the lake or something like that, top down, music loud...

Finally got my new car!!! Yas Blue M4, she is beeeeeautiful!!! I'll take some pics and post them up soon, I went out for a burn yesterday and its dusty already ughhh.... Obviously not as loud when you rev it idle as the C63, but in sport or sport plus mode when actually driving it I think its louder!!! It feels stronger and built more heavier too which I like, plus the turbos make it sound like a jet taking off haha

The thing is @cain I think most sports car with hard suspension are gonna have road noise which causes the odd rattle in the cabin (im still getting nightmares from my c63, although that was over the top constant rattles hence the full refund) even in my M4 when I ride over a coin in the road it feels like Ive hit a boulder from the Grand Canyon haha Thats why I would only buy an expensive car from a official dealer incase there are any issues that need fixing...

The SL is a lovely looking car bro, not as luxurious as the SL but I had a SLK 55 years back that was great fun it was like driving a go kart haha I think it was the F1 pace car at the time, I had CRAZY fun in that car... I thought it was the best weekend car you could get... but I used it as an every day driver which was not practical!!! haha I ended up buying an old Land Rover Disco for when I had more than two people or when I needed a trunk that could take more than a cell phone!!!

@"water ur seeds" sick man

The growl of the m4 is surely different than the v8's but I know it's quick as hell

Thanks brother... Yeah I actually think the M4 is louder/deeper when you accelerate and drive along town (in sport or sport plus mode), it sounds like a jet engine taking off haha... What I found/miss with the V8 though is when you first start it up or rev it like mad in neutral, that was alot louder and I must admit I do miss the cold start up noise when you first switch the ignition on haha so the M4 is more tame in that respects, but tbh like I said think its louder when accelerating...
