@_Menace_ not a bad price. I try to stay under 30k if I'm gonna get a used whip but that's not bad. You don't mind getting a V6, doe?

At this point I dont mind. i commute to work so I'll save on gas. Shit is 323hp tho

I got Life Time Warranty on my engine and transmission (GOAT)

Also if anything happens to the car (except maintenance shit like tires/oil change ect ect)

they fix it for free

That's not a bad price for a base car, but I wouldn't get a base model. I'd look for the 2011+ R/T model (if thats the body style you like), in the real world the MPG difference isn't that much.Hell I'd pick a 2006-2010 R/T over a new V6.

Welp the. Head Gasket in the Acura is shot.

It can be 30 degrees outside but It just overheats and sometimes opens the thermostat to let the cool water in.

Estimate is $1800 from one mechanic and $2300 for a new 3.5 engine upgrade from my 3.2

Not trying to spend either on this car bc I had my next whip in sight in 2 years.

I dunno.....

Was anything damaged when/if it ran hot? why not just get the gasket replaced?

The Head Gasket costs btwn $60 -$100 for that car... all the money is in the labor.

I'd keep the car (shit's a classic IMO) and slowly tear the engine down til you get to the heads... and then replace the gasket. I believe in the Legend, you may need to take the engine out in order to replace the head gasket. If you do it little by little over time, you'll have it back on the road in a while.

@b00kie check this out... It may be a simple cheap fix... apparently the mechanics call Head Gasket for a lot of things...

& at @millz

The gasket is cheap but the labor, cheapest I got was $1600.

I get into it but not like I used do, can't see myself doing the heads myself.

That's crazy I called a Honda specialist today and he told me the same thing.

Ima try it in a few days. Hope it work

The A/S7 or CLS550 gotta wait till '16
