True, but we need to start supporting our films. You ever wonder, why a majority of films have us in a negative light? Look at "The Help", it's an disgraceful film, yet it will win an Oscar. If you want to see more positive blacks in film, go pay that $10 and see Red Tails. What's more important, seeing more people of film, or keeping that $10?

Is that a porno or sumthin?

It's a movie about the Tuskegee Airmen, fighter pilots who fought in World War 2. If it's still showing at your local movie theater, go with the family and see it. The fight scenes are good, and it's some up-and-coming brothers in the film.

Peep the youtube video, and you'll see why it's important we support this

it's 13.95 to see a movie at the Silver city by my house - no lie.

Plus popcorn is like 8 bucks.

I live in NY , and I can find tickets for $11(that's at nighttime), go to the movies before 3pm, and I know you can get $10 tickets.

ne-yo's "souther accent" was horrid

True

They also did my boy Joe dirty, it was a good movie though. But we need to make our own films, this way we can cancel out the nonsense that's displaying us in film.

Good movie, but I gotta c/s Superstar. They could've did a lil better wit the acting AND the guys they chose to play the airmen. But still good movie.

We need more all black casted movies. Unfortunately Hollywood is to racist.

I saw it opening weekend. I loved seeing strong Black Brothers on screen that weren't in drag but I have to be honest the script was terrible.

i guess props are due unto George Lucas for dropping 58milli on this film. But the Cynical side of me thinks maybe that was part of his plan, to exploit americas racism and prejudice toward black folk, in hope it would create media buzz thus providing him with profit...i hope that is not the case though

Well regardless of his motives, the film showcased heroes who have been mostly unknown.

Go see Red Tails? Fuck no, it wasn't good (saw it online). If I'm gonna support my black filmmakers I'm gonna do it when they make something good. Supporting a bad film because it was made by our people ain't progression, its mindless and stupid.

It's been out for a little over a month. If it's still showing in your area, go see it, since this film can open doors for us.

So show of hands, who saw the film?

Totally want to see this...it was worth it then.
