What does paying for online have to do with hackers? I get that people still aren't happy about paying, but it ain't like this is just some normal shit.

Are you serious or just trying make an argument as usual? There should be protection against these type of attacks considering we are paying money for a service. It's not even hacking what they're doing, it's DDOSing. We're paying these companies millions, maybe even billions of dollars for service and they aren't even putting that money into protecting their servers. So, why are we even paying for this shit?

You could be paying companies trillions of dollars and they wouldn't be able to make some imaginary perfect system that couldn't be exploited, hacked, or defeated. I get that niggas aren't happy with this shit. That's understandable. But you're crazy if you think the money you're paying has anything to do with securing the PSN against shit like this and you're crazier if you think that little bit of money you pay every month would make a difference.

And no I'm not trying to argue. I'm just pointing out something that should be obvious. The money PS4 users pay for online access has nothing to do with defending against this type of shit and was never represented to have anything to do with that.

RUMOR: Sony To Offer Free Games and Services for PSN Outage

Sony will be offering two free games from an unspecified list for Playstation 4, Playstation 3 or Playstation Vita titles to PlayStation Network members as part of its apology for the Playstation Network Outage over the Christmas Period.
