I think dude has a right to be upset about them basically sampling a chorus from his song and not giving credit or giving permission, but a lot of what he said is out of line.

First of all, he keeps characterizing it as them stealing his song. If the song has a different beat and different verses, it's not the same song. Yeah, they used Pimp's hook, but the shit really didn't have anything to do with 17. I'm not really sure why he feels like KRIT is trying to be like him. It ain't like KRIT out there claiming he was Pimp's protege. He's just paying homage.

And there may have been beef between Pimp and Bun. That doesn't mean they didn't see each other as brothers. And Bun might have been in the wrong about some things, but from the third party commentary I've seen. So was Pimp. That Big Gipp interview kinda proved that. He was basically big upping Pimp, but he also pointed out that Pimp did somethings that could be considered foul.

They didn't have to clear shit w/ him, cause he doesn't own the song. It most likely was a Pimp/UGK track that Pimp allowed him to have/jump on.

That doesn't mean he can't be upset about it though. If you had a close relationship with someone and ya'll put some work out that was only meant to benefit you, it is disrespectful for someone else to come along and use it without even giving you a head's up.

lmfao

hurt and delusional

EVERYBODY wants to be UGK proteges.....if you from the south and born in the 80's you probably feel like they're your uncles too on some real shit....so I get why he seems to be soooo passionate about being THE protege....but he can chill with that

Attacking Krit and his name and trying to low key drop some street shit into the mix over a hook (off your wack ass mixtape hosted by DJ Earl) is some weak ass shit

This nigga knows DAMN well we dont know who the fuck he is....never heard the boys name until today and he got a mixtape presented by the Pimp!!!...and I check for this shit!!!!!.....we bought Gangsta Muzic, we know bout B12 boys and Middle Fingas and all that shit......what the fuck is a SEVENTEEN????

I wanna know what kinda hole you been livin in to think you can drop a video, in bed, straight disrespecting the likes of the southern og's we KNOW you grew up on

"I dont fuck wit Bun" ....but did he say why?.......north, south, east, west I've never heard anyone have anything bad to say about that man

you on a lil ass boat in the middle of the ocean and just kicked your last paddle off the muthafucka as far as Im concerned

If pimp died in 2007 why did 17 wait till 2011 to drop his song.

Did he really have that much going on in his career?

I figured he must have bought the vocals off Pimp Cs wife since she controlled his music after he died.

Im guessing she is the one who sold the vocals to Krits camp or whoever produced the track.

So the real beef should be with Pimps wife double dippin out chea

*produced by Cory Mo

Agreed, which kinda makes it worse. The people that everyone knows about couldn't benefit from something like this, the way he did. I'm not saying KRIT should have done this, but if you're basically going to rip something from the work of an smaller artist from your own state, you could have at least shown him some love and given him a verse in the song too.

Again, I ain't saying this dude is right, but I don't think he's wrong to be like "Fuck KRIT and Bun" here.

I’m assuming this is one of the other books he’s saying they took.

He need to holla at Cory Mo and mama Wes.

I remember 17..my cousin had his tape back in the day. He rapped like a lost ugk member n every song he did with pimp was him jocking the flo.

He was never go blow so pimp moved on to boosie n webbie, who had they own sound .

17 wasnt making his name known once pimp died so why tryna get fame now?

And if you ever fucked with pimp then you know them shirts is disrespectful

Mama Wes is dead and Chinara, Pimp's wife is over his estate...tha She Luv It version w/ tha RKelly sample was tha OG version but Jive wouldnt clear tha sample so they changed tha beat and 17 used tha OG version on his mixtape Pimp C presented

Smh at him trying to profit off of Pimp's name with that atrocious clothing. Better hope that you're giving Pimp's kids some profits
