It's not like he wasn't telling the the truth. I wonder what team or offer would persuade him to return to the league

the heatles

True, some of his success as a coach has been talent already being in place on teams

emmholla, stop being a homer son. The Knicks ain't shit right now. Lin was the best thing ya'll had going and you fucked it up by bring back Melo.

Not that Phil isnt right about the wack ass Knicks....but isnt that your job as a coach to bring structure and a game plan to a team?? Phil has always walked into the best possible situation to cruise into a chip. He has never BUILT a championship team in his life.

Exactly this doesn't make the Knicks look bad this makes Jackson look bad.

You can't bring structure when the skill-sets don't fit. You guys put way too much stock into the coaches. This is about skill-sets. Stupid ass teams like the Knicks and Hawks don't understand that.

If I was NY, I would trade Melo ASAP for Paul George and Darren Collison. Add depth build around Lin, Amare, George, and Chandler.

Melo is bad for that personnel. He would be better in something like what Denver use to do. Build a team around him with a lot of all around talent and a deep bench. The only superstars I can see Melo doing well with is Dwight Howard and KG. The defensive minded ones.

Lin is a PnR PG with scoring ability but his playmaking skills are above average

Chandler is a PnR center offensively and a great defender

Amare is an offensive minded PF who can do a lot when in shape and healthy but is mainly a PnR type.

Melo is the odd ball. Everyone else fits but Melo.
