the fact that PAC's legacy which he made in 5yrs from 20-25 shits all over jays 20yr career

good for him
i wouldnt deny his legacy but if i was to put pacs best albums against jays or even other hip hop artists, he wouldn't come out on top
it doesnt mean their catalog is better. i just prefer it more

maybe your location has something to do with it?

i mean if the biggest rapper ever from NY got murked in LA..

i would hold a grudge against the westcoast and its artist to... i understand your pain!

im not in pain. location doesnt mean anything. im not NY bias. i listen to rappers from every region and will continue to as long as they're making good music
and i had no connection with biggie so it didnt affect me when he got killed. i was only 4 so obviously i didnt give a fuck
btw, the biggest artist to ever come from NY is still alive

Big @ 24 (RTD & LAD & Junior Mafia & Hard Core & No Way OUt)
NaS @ 25 (ILL & IWW & THE FIRM)
Pac @ 25 (2AN, 2FMN, MATW, AEOM, MAK & TLife)
Jay @ 25 (Working with Big L and Big Daddy Kane, Rappin like bone and the fu snickens, Jaz - o's wing man)

Yea, Pac did a lot with limited so, so Did Big. NaS also did very well in the early part of the year as far as quality as sales when you look back. Jay was not on the radar before he was 26 years old, by that time, Pac, Big, NaS had already put out legendary material. But it's not about age when someone gets on, it's about the quality of the material you release. Jay is Top 5, it's not debatable, he has one of the best and most successful catalog's in rap history. He's one of the richest men in rap history. And he was in a rap song before Pac, Big and NaS though he changed his style cause of them. So the answer to this thread is correct, Pac at 25 accomplished so much than Jay @ 25. Jay was a late bloomer but doesn't take away his legendary status.

pac 1st album went gold and second did hit plat until after he died. pac is way bigger in death than he ever was in life. jay is huge in life and there is no telling what is gonna happen when that nigga die especially if it untimely

No not really

Jay is 42/43.... Age plays a factor, and the Stage the artist is at in their career, plays a factor as well...

when a muthafucka die young theirs always the perception that, that person has not unlocked their full potential...

for example had Micheal Jackson died in 88' he would of been bigger in death then life... he would of been a deity.

But he died in 09', dude was already bigger than life, how bigger can Mike Get ? everybody already had all his CD'S.

He got a lil sales boost, a lil merchadising boost yada yada

i think Jay has reached that plateau, 15 years 11 platinum albums , 5 collab platinum albums, where if he dies then their would be no huge jump, may be an extra 10-15 milli in sales, merchadising and stuff

MR.Z is already huge...

Wrong

Anyway, plus most of these artists couldn't even hold a double album like Pac could. BP2 was wack

Jay-Z is a much better rapper than Pac. Not sure why the thread starter wanted to compare these two when pac was in his prome and Jay was just starting out. A better comparision would be both of them in their primes
