lmao!! If you are looking to chase women tihis is the wrong place!! Men out number women 40 to 1 here and a lot of these chicks use that to their advantage and are stuck up and rude as hell. Now there are female Soldeirs that are easy to fuck, because they throw pussy at male contractors becuse of the money they make..............So you could fuck and army or airforce chick without a problem....

lol, i got fam that was in the military, so army ass is right up my alley

what company are you the HR manager for? And how long is the interview process? I remember when I worked for the local govt that shit took months.

whats good for a young, fresh computer engineer like myself? I've never been in the military, but I have worked for the Coast Guard while in college and I'm working for a govt contractor right now as a Systems Engineer. And I have a clearance

Well, having a clearance is a definite plus, with the job skills you have if you post your resume unto the sites I posted on the first page you will probably get called back pretty quickly.

thats the thing, i dont have much experience in the engineering field. i just started that. when i was working for the coast guard, i was doing finance stuff.

I work for KBR/Hallliburton The interview process to get overseas is fairly short. It usually consist of a 20 minute phone call where a HR Rep ask you questions. Then he will determine rather or not you get hired and after that you get the background check and report for in processing. My company's in processing consist of a week in Houston where you get classes and briefs about working overseas. Every company is different though.

Ahh, ok. Thanks. Did you get my PM. Does my resume look decent? I have about 6 years of high level IT experience with a lot of Fortune 500 companies. I'm trying to see If I can 200k for real lol. When I get home Im gonna go through all those sites and apply for jobs and pray for the best.

Good looking out on the info Kimi. I'm currently in the GS system looking to go contract for a couple years to pay off my mortgage quickly and then jump back into the GS for retirement. All my questions were pretty much answered but for those vets looking to go GS here are a couple sites you can check out.

http://cpol.army.mil/ & http://www.usajobs.gov/

I went through the 1st site to get my job with the gov't.

Good move!! Admin is an easy way in, and it's something every company needs out here. You can go for an Admin job that works in the Dinning Facility if you want, but other than that indians do all the cooking, and the Military runs the eating facilities over here so there aren't many contracting jobs in that aspect for US citizens.

hell no it aint lol i been tryna get in on the admin shit for a minute....but i've mostly been applying on kbr im gonna try the rest of the sites

Yeah, KBR is a bit harder to get on with because they are the larges contract in Country, and thereby flooded with resumes from the people trying to get over here. So you may get hired quicker going for the other companies I posted.

KBR is good is a starting off "kit"

But in general (only 1st to LSI/EG&G) its the lowest on tolam poll depending on your job position.

And yeah...many times I'll explained that the average contractor doesn't have know more then a HS diploma . Also the misconception that you HAVE to have had

a mililtary background. Not true either....it doesnt help....but only to an extend.

The best way to get on with KBR if that your main goal to work for

is consistency.

Keep applying....matter a fact make it a habit to apply for every position you THINK you qualify for whether you have actual experince or not (youll just fit in with most folk there)

atleast twice a week

I just saw u posted LSI...I don't know their current standing but I had seen that they had lost their contract because of fraud. Some of these companies here would try to get away with murder if they could. It's a damn shame cause it makes all us contractors look bad.

yeah I worked 15 months with LSI before switching to KBR

but you right....all them companies are getting over BIG time....we making chump change compare to them

its so much money and some many people with so many departments and "sub-departments" etc, etc,

and they making up shit to justify the shit....LSI is the only that got caught...cuz KBR has Cheney to fan off the "flames"

still if you can't beat 'em join them...I say

get what we can get and be out or ride that bus til the wheels go flat

I won't be taking resumes or anything but I can help point u in the right direction.

The first thing that people need to do (this includes all posters) is decide what it is you want to do as in what type of field or industry you want to work in.

2nd you need to know what conditions you are willing to accept along with the risks you wish to take.

3rd you have to be mentally prepared to even come out here because if you aren't then will be miserable and lonely.

Most of us veterans know what a deployment is like and not being able to see family and friends. You got kids then it will be worse. These are the things you will experience if you come out here and no one here is going to be concerned because everyone has their own issues.

With this being said I will answer most questions that I can based off any info I know myself.
