Mind you I don't listen to Lil Wayne or Young Money, so I never gave the bitch the time of day. However, my girl who also don't like wayne is piping up Nicki Minaj, So I had see what the fuss was about.

First thing that I noticed was all the verses that Im hearing, the ones that people really know her by. LIL WAYNE WROTE ALL THAT SHT. I'm someone who don't jam Lil Wayne at all, but just offa knowing the stuff of his that's on the radio all the time, I can tell that he wrote "I gets Crazy", the "Itty Bity freestyle" and I'm sure others.

Nicki definitely has what Lil Kim, Foxy Brown never had, which is she's built for this. Lil Kim was Biggie's vision. All Kim had worry about was squeezing into the little bit of clothing that was laid for her, and to spit those rhymes that Biggie had previously recorded for her. Same with Foxy Brown, who I'm sure as 15 year old hood chick, didn't even know what half the shit Jay and Nas wrote for meant. As you saw with them, as their ghostwriting situation changed up, it was never the same again. I can tell that Nicki has a head on her shoulders, and she got herself to wheres she's at.

1. She has a likeable personality that fans will gravitate to. Off the YouTube clips she's developing a repour with fans. Especially with females I noticed, if they feel like the know you and they like you, they are very likely to support you. I never remember a female MC even attempt to use the computer, Soilder Boy style, and try to befriend your fanbase intom buying your ish.

2. She has a background in performing. She mentioned going to Performing art school for drama. So she already knows how to please an audience. So she knows whats shes doing with all the faces. Again, Its defintiely not my cup of tea, but I see these bitches eating it up so

3. I can tell that she's very street smart and she can knows how to hold her own. All these female MCs, let then industry turn them out. The rap game is infamously mysoginistic, so you know most of these female MCs found themselves in compromising positions before, that has probably left them a bit damaged. i Saw Nicki with a journalist, chopping it up, then I see her in the mix at this hood club with str8 thug niggaz, wilding out like them, but she knows how to play it how it go in both arenas.

My first prediction is that Nicki Minaj's & Drake will have some sort of falling out, cause only one of them can be the star of Young Money. And with Lil Wayne away, theres no moderater to keep them in line. Nikki is down ass hood bitch and Drake is chill jewish bol from the suburbs, they like total opposites. I can't call it, but don't say I didn't say something.

Now, This Thread is only 4 the real niggaz to give their opinion from an unBiased view, How do you see this chicks career going? I ain't trying to hear no male nicki minaj fans, matter fact that whiteboy KillaCham with all the Nikki Minaj pics, not in here.

I truly believe that Kim has never written one lyric in her entire life, and she can't freestyle. But she has classics. Foxy's case is different. I believe that Foxy has always had a knack for songwriting, it's just that the vast majority of her career has been a collaboration of some sort with her peers. She has never had "ghostwriters." Everyone knew that Jay, Nas, etc had large contributions to her music. She just never had that project where she was able to showcase her lyrical prowess by herself...until '01. Broken Silence was Foxy's first album where she was able to display her lyricism. And I don't care what anyone says, that album is 100% Foxy, through and through. And it's still her most accomplished effort, and one of the strongest from a female rapper altogether. Foxy, lyrically, is an emcee. She can freestyle, and she's quite good at it. Her only problem seems to be staying focused long enough to actually construe lyrics with the pen and pad. But she can do it. She's done it before.

Nicki is okay. But I don't think she has Foxy's ability to murder a beat, straight off the top, flow wise and all. Foxy, to me, is a female Biggie...both have/had that raw skill to just demolish a track, right off the dome.

And I don't think there's anything wrong with having a little help here and there. I think if Nicki actually did have that help, she'd be a lot better than she is currently, just writing her shit by herself.
