pac was king @ telling his side to make his actions sound justified ... however cube did start this gangsta stuff him and his crew nwa .................................................................................... pac needed to just own up to that and stop making it seem like cube bit hit em up ....

Pac once again telling the truth. Cube did use the East vs West hype as a crutch to get money. I cant knock his hustle but I understand where Pac is coming from. Its like how these new rappers wanna become bloods because its the cool thing to do.

Dont give me that "Well Cube is from the West and he has every right to defend his territory."

Well why did he re-locate to New York to record his album? Exactly, because it was a good business move. Cube is about gettin money. Keepin it real dont mean shit to that man.

I've been gone awhile now I'm back. Time to answer some of these

Well why did he re-locate to New York to record his album?

Becuz he was cool with PE and the bomb squad. It's as simple as that. He had a problem with East Coast critics not all people who are from the East Coast

here's one thing you guys don't get bout tim dogg and that wack-ass "fuck compton" song...

when he came out with that compton was basically modern day chicago status. even though the song was wack and outta left field... who amongst this generation of rappers would not only have the balls to make a song called "fuck chicago" but the continue to tour there and eventually settle down and live there?

i'll wait.

he had heart for makin it but shit was just executed horribly lmao

Every album Cube dropped before he dropped Bow Down was platinum. Cube was also smart enough to never sell his publishing. Cube was a millionaire when he dropped Bow Down.

Tupac's finances at this time where a much different story. After his death, it was found out that his jewelry was rented, and he was behind on his payments. And his house and cars were on loan from Death Row, because he could not afford to buy them. He lied to his Mom. He told her that he bought a house for her, and it turns out the house was owned by Suge Knight.

If you want to talk about somebody using the East vs West beef for hype and cash, the person you should be talking about is Tupac.

Suge Knight, and Snoop Dogg, are the originators of the East vs West beef. Not Tupac. Tupac use to ride around the East Coast with Biggie, and a bunch of other people from the east. And the people that shot him, were from Jimmy Henchman's crew, and Jimmy did not have him shot because of the East vs West beef. Pac was supposed to do a track for him, and did not do it. Also, last but not least,Tupac was hanging with Faith Evans before he got shot. So him hanging out with her had nothing to do with East vs West either. This is a fact many people seem to forget.

Tupac used the East vs West beef for cash and hype more than anybody else on the planet. He attacked people that had problems with Death Row long before he got to Death Row. Snoop and the Dogg Pound were in videos crushing buildings in New York way before Pac ever said anything about New York.

The East vs West beef was pure hype, that would of died out if Pac had stopped using it to sell albums. All of the participates inside of it did not even want to engage in it anymore. Snoop himself said this. Snoop, Biggie, Nas, Jay-z, Puff, Mobb Deep, and everybody in between was no longer promoting this beef. The only one still talking about it was Tupac.

Ay now I love 2Pac as much as the next guy, Me Against The World and The Don Killuminati are two of my favorite albums ever and his contributions to the world of hip hop are immeasurable but sometimes he acted like a damn beyotch. He seemed really self absorbed at times and was always cryin bout some dumb shit and dissin' people who didn't always deserve it. His music is timeless tho there's no denying that. I fux wit him

how was he really promoting it? he never had beef wit the whole NEWYORK . His beef is far different from what snoop and suge knight had with the east coast. Pac was targeting one group then everybody else in newyork started to team up making it look like a whole coastal war which it was not .From what i heard and read pac got shot cuz he was hanging around the wrong crowd when he was in new york and his shooting was a message to him . Pac was on his way to the studio to do the track for jimmy and why would jimmy get people to shoot pac for not doing a song ??. About his finances shyt , he was being robbing since he signed to deathrowrecords by sugeKnight and he was so caught up and not thinking and watchin his finances . I guess before he died he started realizing he was being played by suge. You can blame pac for the whole thing but newyork niggaz were making mixtapes. subliminal tracks about him ,so what did you want him to do? sit there and allow people to disrespect him ? and act like shit cool? nah fuck that niggas need to know there place and showed it . Those things are being overlooked by everyone .

Wannabes always try the hardest but anyway before tupac came around everybody was cool EPMD was in some of NWA's videos and yeah Ice Cube linked up with PE and big daddy kane So everybody pretty much respected each back then .

This whole East vs. West started at The Source Awards when Snoop and Suge said what they had to say and Snoop and Dogg Pound doing the New York, New York song and kicking buildings down in the video and making fun of how they talk at the beginning yet, Snoop bitched up when Pac came to Death Row and acted like he was cool with Big, nevermind it was Big that got on the radio and said how NY gonna let them come to NY and do the video and their trailer gets shot at.

What's the story on pac saving timdog?

Shock G: "One time in the early nineties, Bronx rapper Tim Dog did a show in San Francisco and afterwards some Frisco cats had him boxed in and were threatening to hurt him up real bad. Had it not been for Pac, Tim may have gotten murdered that night. This was right after Tim Dog's West Coast diss album came out, but the album specifically dissed Compton and Southern Cali, and Pac felt like Frisco was ridin on Tim Dog unfairly and seized an opportunity to show Oaklands strength as well as show some loyalty to his birthplace, New York City. I think Pac had also kicked it with Tim Dog once or twice back in New York and felt more camaraderie with Tim than he did [with] anonymous Frisco *****z, and probably felt a little obligated to help him. It was in between Juice and Poetic Justice ; Pac was known, but not yet a superstar or heavyweight in the streets. Anyway, that night Pac told Tim and his people to wait inside and drove across the bay to Oakland and came back with an arsenal and escorted Tim safely out of the club and back to his hotel. They straight rescued that cat. Pac became a true heavyweight in the street that night."

Tim Dog tells the story differently, and Shock G wasn't there when it happened. Tim said that one guy got mad at him in a club, over a girl, and Tim and his boys beat his ass, and his friends ass. Pac seen what happened and wanted to join in, so he took Tim to his house-instead of fighting when the situation happened-and they got weapons, even though the guy that attacked Tim didn't have a weapon, and they went back to the club to threaten the guy.

Story starts at the 2:23 mark - I believe Tim over Shock G, he was there. And he has never been known to be a punk.

Jimmy Henchman told the Government that he had Tupac shot while he was on trial. His motive for having Pac shot was because Pac would not work with him, even though Pac had been taking gifts from him, and said that he was down with him.

Tupac said fuck the entire New York State in the song NY 87

NY 87 - 4:51 - Tupac says: It's west coast, fuck New York

Almost everybody that Tupac dissed on the East Coast, either dropped one diss song and left the beef alone, or they did not respond at all. Without Tupac constantly doing magazine, radio and television interviews, their is nothing to talk about. Tupac was the driving force behind the East vs West beef.

Tupac was human. So it would be foolish for anybody to think that money or fame did not motivate him. Especially when you factor in the facts that he was heavily in debt, and wanted to exceed as an actor. Tupac needed lots of money immediately to pay back Suge, pay off his debts, and to fight court cases. And I think it's safe to say, that anybody who wants to be an actor craves fame whether they admit it or not. Tupac had film crews documenting everything he did.
