Right place, right time, right uniform and do what you're told=keys to success in the military, shit is damn near the easiest job in the world

So you actually feel good that all you had to do was sign your name and show up?? As far as the uniform goes you ain't got shit else to do but press them clothes and shine them boots in the middle of no where....what thought or work did you put in that wasn't a order??

What do you do for a living my friend?

and more importantly, what do you @ that job that someone else didn't tell you to do first?

I think somehow the word 'orders' is taboo. It's a bad word, a terrible word.

Kinda like Hydrate vs Moisturize I suppose

I'm a teacher for the intellectual disabled, take orders? Yes I do, I didn't just sign a peice of paper and anybody cant just apply for this position. On my way to getting where I am, I wasn't removed from society and the temptations and responsibility that comes with it. I wasn't not left with no choice due to my location and potential/threat of if I don't finish I will have a dishonorable discharge

I'm not shittin on the military, just don't come in here and front like you had to study and past a test to join while dealing with life and find a way to be able to receive those benefits, they are guaranteed to anybody who stays for a certain amount of time. I could go sign up tomorrow go to basic by the end of the year, stay for 20 and come out fine, but I believe I have more potential than that, I worked corrections before teaching, could of stayed for 20 years and retired at 39 but I believe i have more potential than that

People think just because a few mos that actually leave the wire that everyone does. For the most part most people don't even see action. And when we are in the field this shit ain't no blindly run down the street and hope u don't get hit or step on an ied. If their was even a hint of trouble as far as ied came they called in the bomb squad.

If it was fighting for an actual cause, and 'war' is necessary I think they should be respected for it.

For instance,

I have no respect for soldies that went to fight in the likes of Iraq. A war that's contributed to the disarray we are currently seeing in the middle east? Nah I can't respect that.

You risked your lives for what?

So America could bolster oil resources?

=D>

To be fair Americans were lied too
