I believe Meek really executed with that project.

I can't speak for anybody else, but Control System coming out around the same time (temporally) lessened the dopeness of DCII.

Lecrae's tape was better imo

but Dreamchasers 2 was pretty solid

I really really recommend this mixtape.

Even though its been getting solid reviews from critics, i feel this mixtape is still being slept on.

Yes Dreamchasers 1 >>>> DC2 but....this was not the most overhyped shit of the year imma have to say no. As any MMG mixtape the whole purpose of it is not to be too good. I.E. rich forever that outside stay schemin and a few other songs was not a long lasting mixtape you could play over and over. This is because they realize they need you to focus on the albums and either buying the album or the albums singles.

It wasn't overhyped just strategically marketed to turn more heads. As a matter of fact meek wasn't even bullshitting in interviews like too many up and coming rappers do. He wasn't saying shit like "this gunna be the mixtape of the summer" this mixtape is my best work of my whole career". Cause the one thing about shit thats overhyped is when an artists says some bullshit comments to talk the shit up like 2 Chainz predicting his shit gunna be the album of the summer.
