And I'm supposed to be surprised by this? People throwing themselves down tracks with nothing but sleds while speeding at 160km/h, and I'm meant to be shocked at someone else dying? Same goes for the Skeleton which is even more ridiculous. I swear these winter sports are stupid and the people that do them are even more stupid; they just don't give a fuck whether they die or not.
Michael Johnson (the runner) did a documentary for the BBC recently on downhill skiiers and the fact so many of them put themselves in hospital doing it, one man snapping his spine clean because the safety nets failed. I remember sometime last year or the year before some skiier had his leg amputated after a crash. These sports are stupid. I'll watch out of pure entertainment and to go "WOW!" at the TV screen but the fuck am I going to be shocked or sad when some of them kill themselves. They really are stupid and pointless sports and you really need to be lacking any real sense of fear, conscience or common sense to do them that anyone who isn't white would have
