As they should be, the preparation that goes into college football nowadays might as well be an Associates Degree. Added to that the risk of CTE and ur not even getting paid for it. Shit..u shouldn't even have to go to nothing but basics and the major u choose, if that's what u want.

I'm a highschool drop out, but I'm as intelligent as they come. GPA isn't a determining factor of intelligence, commitment, and willingness to learn.

Some people just aren't wired to take on that heavy a load of both physical and mental and maintain in both while being drained of both, is all I'm sayin.

Let a man have the right to choose his level of difficulty instead of holding everyone to the same standard. And shun those that can't live up to it for whatever reason.

You might think that athletes make more than educators, doctors and professors, but there's only 450 players in the NBA, 1,696 players in the NFL, 690 players in the NHL and 750 players in Baseball. The odds of being a professional athlete are astronomical. Furthermore, the owners of those teams make more money than the players. The owners are lawyers and MBAs.

If you're a professional athlete and you score a $100 million contract that's great, but if you don't understand finance then you won't know how to invest your money. You'll end up trusting a stockbroker and he'll rip you off because he thinks your stupid.

We've all heard stories of professional athletes that played long careers and made it to the hall of fame who later filed for bankruptcy because after they retired they had no income and their financial advisors took everything.

If you plan on being a professional athlete the smartest thing you can do is major in finance. Because if you have a $100 Million contract nobody is going to "help" you invest it. You'll be surrounded by sharks and everybody will be looking for a handout.
