Like I been sayin' bruh, Hov sounded bored on the album. Like he could be doing anything else.

I don't know what was his deal on this album. But Kanye definately killed Jay on basically every track.

Im not worth Half of a Billion dollars, have classic albums, toured the world and has a permanet place in Hip Hop History. He already proved he has talent he just making music for the hell of it and Honestly Who Gon Stop Him huh?

No one's gonna stop him. That doesn't mean niggas should be denigrated for saying he sounds bored and that it was a subpar effort. Thank you for proving my point.

so if its a strip club called Beauty Bitches and it has some of the ugliest hoes you ever seen in it you wouldn't think it sucked . and if even without any preconceived notions it was

average and i'm not talkin jay-z average or kanye average i'm talking average average. IF this was anybody else we would have said these muthafuckas wasted good production

Well beauty is subjective, just like how you may not feel it, there are millions of people who feel it and will buy it. I'm sure neither Jay nor Kanye is losing sleep over what a nigga on a hiphop message board thinks.

I think the album is dope, that's all that matters. If it was anybody else this thread wouldn't make it pass the 1st page, like i said niggas went into the album with their bias expectations are only setting themselves up for disappointment due to placing expectations of what they wanted to hear.

If you ever set out to record an album with no one to impress you should stop rapping.

I thought people make music for the love of it...in a perfect world anyway. Who can you really look to impress when you're considered one of the best anyway? All you get are people who appreciate your music or people who don't think you're as good as people say you are. No matter what is done those views will unlikely change.

Who is this album mostly taylored for in terms of sounds?...They name drop one of the most powerful british families...You actually think HOV and kanye give a solid fuck about your struggle? ...Do you see HOV embracing HIS ppl in black america? or do you see him chilling with chris martin from coldplay and attending seminars with bill gates?

Fuck a rap record!!! the same way a studio gangsta can lie on the mic about catching a hundred bodies, the same way a so called concious brotha can pretend he gives a fuck about the struggle...

Its all for sales and politics b...learn the game

tabernacle. Kanye hangin around Jay is a bad idea. He should go back to kickin it wit Talib, Mosdef and Common. Kanye is a conscious brother tho, his actions speak for him. Watch the throne is WHITE Musik recorded by an emcee who is white on the inside but black outside. Distant Relatives is the GOAT Album since Miseducation of lauryn hill

If you make music for the love of your craft. If you're going to call yourself Michael Jordan. You ALWAYS try to get better and ALWAYS get on that court(album) with something to prove.

It went from Get Money this is how you live music to more conscious towards the end.... The issue is (unlike most Kanye CDs) this didn't have a general theme or a thread that tied all the songs together... I believe the cd has a message but its not clear what it is.. and for a group of folks that can't comprehend or misconstrue BLANTANT messages makes it even harder...

The question is, who should Kanye and Jay-z be trying to impress? Their fanbases is very diverse (purist, females, club heads, commercial music fan, etc), is it even possible to please all bases. Niggas complain about Blueprint not being lyrcial despite it being deemed a classi and niggas complain about MBTDF being to artsy and European sounding despite it being deemed a classic.

Uh no... Why do people confuse Jay's lyric focus changing because he has been RICH FOR A LONG TIME to him some how being an uncle tom... He is really RICH... not just rich but RICH RICH... that would change EVERYONE's focus and outlook on life...

Not even Beyonces genes will save that child form being ugly as fuck.

I feel bad for that baby tho..
Gonna have beyonce facial features then it's gonna end up with Jay's nose and lips.
Baby might as well commit suicide.

How can you suggest how someone makes their music? If this is what he wants to make, it's his right. This isn't going 5-on5 in a gym. This man is making the music he either wants or feels will keep him at the top. I'm not asking anyone to like Jay-Z. I'm just pointing out that you really can't fault ANY artist for making what they want to make. You can't be mad at an artist because the album isn't what you wanted to be. Like I said in the previous post, either you appreciate the effort or you think it should be better. I appreciate the effort.

Well, I've from Ye and Jay I've only been disappointed by one album. MBDTF is the best album I've heard in the last 10 years(this is a personal opinion of course). I expected more on this from Hov. As a Hov fan you CAN'T say he didn't sound bored.

It's his right to make it, and it's my fuckin' right to criticize it. Man, y'all niggas kill me. As a potential consumer, I can complain about how Apple makes iPads, I can complain about Uwe Bol's movies, I can complain about an episode of Seinfeld that I hate, and I can complain about this fuckin' album. Why? b/c I'm a fan, and these two artists pretty much defined the beginning of my tastes in music.

Are you niggas even thinking about the arguments you're making defending this shit? Yes, if they want my buck they have to please me. If they don't, I have every right to express my complaints about the album.
