I'll admit that a lot of this is a Kanye featuring Jay project.

Based off what they were saying about Ye wanting Jay to make this more than a bonus cd for MBDTF it makes sense that Kanye is carrying the album.

Being one of Jay's biggest fans, I think I'm ready to say, I don't want to hear him anymore. He's just an average good rapper now and that's not the Jay I've come to know over the past 15 years.

the album is weak. its basically a gloryfied mixtape of halfassness and bullshit. a dissapointing venture for 2 so called heavyweights to make such bland and forgettable music. nothing from this album is inspiring. nothing from this album will change the course of hip hop in years to come. take hate from bp3 and multiply it 15 times and that is what the album basically sounds like. Jay Z is finished. he needs to give up rap. its been a good 47 years. he sounds like he needs and iron lung to help him breathe. its kind of shocking to hear actually because i cant believe Jay Z actually did 12+ tracks sounding washed up and winded and thought the shit would make a lasting impression for his fans. this nigga flowed on vol 1 like it was nothing. he is holdin on for dear life on this album and at times he even falls under and sounds like utter shit. the only verse i liked was on i love you. he was spittin some real shit there but was the same old tired repetitive content he been dishin out since 96. drugs, money and fame. i cant believe you niggas in here are doing cartwheels and splits declaring this album as a classic. buck and krs shit was way better than this. there is nothing classic on this album because these niggas are rapping about the same shit they been rapping about for a large majority of their careers. neither one of them experimented with anything new. all of the tracks resemble BP3 throwaways and are sometimes irrating to listen to because of all the fuckin childish ass soundeffects. Jay Z shows he's a hypocrite by allowing autotune on this album. Kanye shows he's a hypocrite by walking down the same path as Jay Z spitting them tired wack ass verses about nothing. Kanye dont love hip hop no more. fuck him. niggas tried to have his back and buy MBDTF cause he lost his whole white fanbase and he repays niggas by trying to rap like Jay Z little brother about tired ass materialistic shit. im just about done with Kanye real talk this aint the same Kanye ever since amber rose this nigga been nothing but a gay white man trapped in a black man body. if i want to listen to fuckin euro pop music id jam the bitch in my avi. weak album. if it comes out on vinyl ill buy it no problem and give it another chance. if not. fuck it. the album is garbage. very dissapointing. high points were H.A.M. (ironically) and Murder 2 Excellence. everything else was pure shit. Sweet Baby Jesus can put a nigga to sleep. it automatically ranks up as most boring song of the 10's decade. more boring and awkward than forever young. 1/5 save your money and buy Lady Gaga album instead

And this is what I've been telling people. Jay Z never wanted to do a full LP but just an EP, KanYe was the one that needed this more, after the Taylor Swift Drama. Jay wanted it to be a Bonus EP on MBDTF. KanYe convinced him otherwise. This is more like the 2nd LP from MBDTF than anything. Jay is spitting but he's letting Ye get all the shine.

The thing is that he's JUST THERE. Take away the Jay verses and replace them with new Kanye verses and it takes NOTHING from the album

I mean to each his own imo he wasn't just there..

I just feel the expectations of Jay are high as fuck by many due to previous projects with Ye (Diamonds Rmx,Never let me down, etc.) and at this point of this career Jay is not there.

Ye at this point is the superior artist.

Sounds like a bad excuse.

Murder to Excellence is tough. Can't give either an edge.

Both of them aint rapping bout shit through out the album. If more rappers go with this electro dub step beats I will officially be completely turned off from rap forever.

What I do? Turn around and give them beats to Jay

And I'm rappin on them beats they was supposed to buy
