Probably. He hasn't dropped anything worth listening to in 4 years.

One hot project every 8 year average.

American Gangster (Great Album) Blueprint 3 (Good Album) --Within 4 years

8 year span - The Black Album, Kingdom Come, American Gangster, Blueprint 3

only one "weak" album in Kingdom Come

as his long time friend and engineer, i hope young guru keeps it 100 with this nigga while they making this album and let jay know he gotta bring it this time around. the last UNDISPUTED (no personal, cult, IC branded) classic Jay Z had was with BP1. its been downhill since. especially in the last 3 years post american gangster. Jay Z skills have taken a sharp decline downwards. BP3 lyrically, conceptually was utter bullshit. a garbage ass album by someone of his standards. he screams that GOAT shit. thats cool and all but its 2011 and basically how the rap game/rap fans are now. its put up or shut up time with Jay Z. I dont wanna hear no fake concept album. I dont wanna hear no bragging blueprint 4 type of shit. I want Jay Z to go outside his comfort zone. outside his method for making and album and drop a new age classic. he has to. Eminem dropped a monster album last year to kick this decade off. same with Kanye. 2 total different sounds from what these niggas was on last decade and they shown growth on their albums. Jay Z has to do the same. he been talking about 1988 and spending money since his arrival. we get it already. time for Jay Z to show himself as a true artist and willing to bare his soul on the records like Kanye and Em did. He's 47 years old. He all gazillonaire. he has the beautiful wife. he been all around the world. I want Jay Z to go in on his life with this album and not with that pop filler shit. he needs to express some insecurities, fears, conflicts and contradicitions of real value besides material wealth. basically he needs to come from the heart with this album. like i said yesterday a life and times of jay z vol 4 would be beyond nice. for all of the bullshit and shots i take at him Jay Z is a talented MC and i been a longtime fan of his work. i just want to hear a dope Jay Z album that will make me STFU about his current wackness

Blueprint 3 AND Kingdom Come were good albums. Niggas just need to stop

When ur a Jay-z type talent those are subpar albums...you gotta judge him on his previous work not on the industry standard...he had some good tracks on those albums so his skills are still there

lol at this EMO ass herb, on some "I want some insecurities, fears, conflicts, contradictions, etc". So you're basically saying, you want Jay to go away from what makes him, him! Why is it so hard for you niggas that an artist perspective is what makes the artist them, that's like asking Nas to tone down the social commentary or Andre 3000 to tone down the abstract thinking. As for the Eminem nonsense, the nigga basically made the same album as BP3, a pop album with big records, wasn't nothing classic or genre pushing about it.

Some of you niggas sound insecure as fuck, talking about you don't want to hear the bragging shit. Go listen to Kid Cudi then, i ain't tryna hear no emo bullshit, i pay money to hear that cocky shit. That's what NY niggas are known for (Kane, Big L, Biggie, etc).
