Wasn't gonna watch this because Star Wars in general is stupid overrated, but niggas was gassin Yoda in the Clone movie the same way, and it definitely made it worth it to watch the rest of that turd of a movie.

Plus ain't no good football games on tonight so I'm in there

so u jus go dis Star Wars like that!!?

but nah.. Yoda put that work in..

that was better the this lone Vader scene.. but jus te whole feel of it was epic..

but he was washin scrubs..

but it was FUCKIN RUTHLESS!!! like SHAYT!!!

the whole movie was lit..

u go fuck wit it fam..

I'm at the crib right now watchin revenge of the sixth waitin on my old lady to get back... this shit wild corny lol. But I'm in it for the fight scenes so yeah Ima diss but they still gon get my money

83f5m72ht0rt.png

revenge of the sith is what got me into the whole Star Wars to begin with..

i liked it.. episode 1 was cool.. 2 was blah.. but it made me go watch episode 4-6 initially and i was hooked and went to watch 1,2 afterwards..

Palpatine was playin Chess on they ass.. i enjoyed the story as well as the fight scenes..

HAVE AN IMAGINATION NIGGA!! lol

Episode 3 got a lot of people into star wars on the low, I remember when it dropped when I was in high school and my friends never looked at any of the star wars movie but when the saw episode 3 with anakin getting his legs and arm chopped off and getting burned ,then seeing him get the Darth Vader outfit they was hooked to it.

Episode 1, 2 and 3 introduced a new generation of Star Wars fans. Funny how the movies weren't hated back then and the theaters were packed. They spawned the resurgence of the franchise.

Saw it today...

Very gritty, war action (both on the ground troops and star fighter combats), loved the scale shots too which gave everything a much more authentic feel to the narration

As others said, this could arguably be the best movie in the franchise (definitely one of the best at least).

CGI and other effects were phenomenal and Darth Vader was GOAT

my only main criticism was I didn't like the opening 15-20mins of the film. Very boring, scene setting, kept showing multiple cities/worlds with new characters like I was supposed to remember all that, who the characters was and the dialogue....."nah ain't nobody got time for that!"

Will see it tomorrow but shit like this will make the movie an overrated disappointment. Nothing will top the original trilogy just like no Zelda game will top OoT or FF me will top FFVII.

Negroe please it's not as bad as he says it is. The internet is full of sour pus muphukas who like to hate on what every body else likes. Just like in the real world some people are in love with the sound of their own voice

B/c they didn't have the Internet back then. Word of mouth was one of the reasons for it success. No Kodi or other streamlined sites that made it accessible to watch it from home.

Of course you had the storyline, special effects, and music that contributed. But not Internet imo is a big reason.

I swear when vader forced pushed the rebel up to the ceiling he was giving a fist pump saying fuck yeah to himself when he was walking they ass down lol

Like some one on YouTube posted it's like that moment in battlefront when you get the hero power up. Whenever I become Vader on the battlefield niggas turn tail and head for the hills because they know what time it is.

Not so sure it's quite as good as the Empire Strikes Back but I definitely put it as being just as good or better than any of the other movies.

I feel like this movie was especially made for the fanboys were as the Force Awakens catered to the more casual audience.

Vader's coming through with that ether at the end was so unnecessary to the plot of the movie but so satisfying to people who know follow these movies, as soon I heard that deep mechanical breathing I knew what time it was.

While Rouge One isn't on par with the originals this is the 1st legit prequel IMO. Can mos def start with Rouge one then Eps 4-6 and act like the other movies never happened.

damn movie almost made me cry a few times

you knew going in that none were destined to survive and their will power to save the lives of potentially billions of people was their motivation

this shit was deep man

I am one with the force and the force is one with me

Just saw it yesterday.

It's definitely better than Force Awakens, but.....just like Force Awakens...........it's not as good as any of the other Star Wars movies.

The masses are still gonna eat it up, but Disney isn't doing this franchise justice.

I was watching the TNT marathon when I got home, and I realized that the one thing that's missing from the Disney movies is a strong Jedi presence.

The foundation of Star Wars is the Jedi and the Force.

That's why Darth Vader putting in work was the best part of the movie.

Without Vader, it doesn't even seem like a Star Wars movie.

Force Awakens would've been better if it had focused on Luke Skywalker training his nephew to be a Jedi and what led his nephew to turn to the darkside.

Problem is, they've already told a similar story before with Luke, Obi Wan, and Anakin.

Guess they weren't creative enough to put a new twist on that storyline.

Probably due to George Lucas' lack of involvement in these new movies.

All in all, they're still gonna make money off the Star Wars franchise........but, unless some things change, these new movies are never gonna be as iconic as the old ones.

And I'm not even talking about New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.

These new ones aren't even on the same level as Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith.

lol

Lotta people in their feelings I see.

Understandable, because most of y'all are just caught up in the hype of seeing a new Star Wars movie.

I said it was better than Force Awakens.........just not better than the rest of the movies.

Niggas are even in here contradicting themselves by saying that there wasn't any need to feature the Jedis...........yet everybody in here says that the Darth Vader scene was the best part.

You nignogs do realize that Darth Vader is.......or was........a Jedi right?

So, it stands to reason that the whole movie would've been a lot better if it was more Jedi-focused.

They even had the perfect setup with the blind dude.

Could've made him out to be one of the last of the Jedis or something.

How dope would it have been to see dude putting in work with a lightsabre?

Maybe even have an epic fight scene with him and Vader on top of that?

Again, not saying it was a bad movie.......but the foundation of the franchise is the Jedi.

All that other shit is just filler material.

This movie was well rounded to me. Yes it would've been nice to have some lightsaber battles but, they were trying to blow up the death star so it would've been unnecessary like vaders final scene.

on another note tho..

Anakin gave Dooku that work in episode 3..

goddamn.. now i gotta go watch that shit.

Anakin got strong pretty quick after dooku fucked him up the first go round. What's the time frame between the two movies?

So if they make a Boba joint you need the jedi to make it a good film? even though dude is a bounty hunter and has nothing to do with the force?

They doing a young Solo film too pretty sure there will be little to no jedi in that film either.

I agree the jedi are an integral part of the story but there are other stories to be told within Star Wars. If you look at the marketing there was absolutely no mention of jedi or lightsabers. It was intentional hence the title "Rogue One". This was never meant to be about them. You might be the only one who had those expectations.

Was it unnecessary? Vader was a last resort and the empire was going to make damn sure the rebels didn't escape with those plans and it was a great set up for episode 4 to boot. Vader was prolly slashing some more troops in the begining of episode 4 before he came through that door on the tantive.
