I don't know about this having the same dude be behind the Star Trek and Star Wars movies. We don't need the two series basically becoming the same thing. I mean the Trek movies have already lost most of the Trek and mostly become generic space based movies. I enjoyed them, but they don't really capture the spirit of the series at all.

Yes, which was my point. I was glad they were moving away from him. The fact that they decided to stick with him is my issue. The two series will continue to head towards each other in style.

they are nothing alike aesthetically , Lawrence Kasdian and Kathleen Kennedy still have the final say with the direct of Star Wars...

and Justin Lin took over Star Trek...

The source material for the two series is vastly different, so they can only be so similar. However, I'm mostly talking about the trend of moving away from what made each series great towards more generic flicks with a particular director's flare. If what you're saying is true, it's a moot point though.

Anyone ever check out some of those Vader comics that were released with the Legends Series? That dude is beyond villainous. They were good stories, but it's good they aren't canon. There is no way you can see the things he did and believe he'd ever be redeemable.
