Everyone seems to hate on Cortez when he battles. I actually think he's dope 8/10 times. He does lose a lot but its always a good battle. Like vs Soul Khan or Real Deal, He bodied Marv, but Marv aint give a shit about a battle since he battled Pat Stay.

How do you guys feel when a battler Gets that personal? like pat talking about fucking up Marv's autistic brother. We all know of course pat isn't going to do it. But to even mention it. Do you think it's un called for? or fair game?

Sometimes lyrics that personal/offensive can actually cause the judges to judge against you, if the battle is judged. While it's fucked up that pat said it, to me tho thats the point of a battle. To get under your opponents skin, make him mad, say the most fucked up shit to him in the biggest crowd of people possible. Depending how it's done tho, can also cause the fans to switch on you. In the battle of Marv and Pat, i think if marv wasn't tipped off about Pat's verses before the battle, and didnt spit that first round of how everything he does that makes money he gives it to autism charities and help out his brother, Pat would have went on as one of the most meanest battlers of all time. With Marv getting that first round about how he helps his brother and everything tho, fans were already on Marv's side. So when Pat spit his vicious lines, it just made him out to be a asshole/shock value rapper.

How do yall feel about it? kinda started to lose my train of thought there lol.

I agree, sometimes it can work against you, but then again, there´s really no line to cross. I guess its more about how you say what you say, than what you actually say... Cuz others have talked about Marv´s brother and alot of people have talked about DNA´s parents, its all fair in war.....
