The intangibles in the SM2 battles>>>>>the actual battles. From "you gonna get this work nigga!" by Lux, the cheesecake chants, Ness gettin emo through DNA's rounds, Puff and Busta's reactions, etc. Shit is already a classic based on that shit.

This battle... DNA was DNA. Nothing more, nothing less. Even though I think him, Lux, and Mook got together and decided they were all gonna take Aye Verb's 3rd round against Holla and run with it. Still dope as hell, love to see a good sonning. Ness... c'mon son. He tried to use the SMACK style and failed... miserably. The thing that made the battle with Solomon debatable was that Ness had bars, and wasn't focused on crowd reactions. He came off more smooth and flawless even though the crowd was dickriding Solomon. He didn't know who he was in this battle. He should've just been Ness, even though he still might have lost, but it would've been a great battle.

Verb had some shit in the 3rd round against Holla talkin about his pops, and his pops was right there. It was ugly. I see the trend of battlers going deep into the souls of their opponents in their 3rd round since then.

oh ok your right ive noticed that too ... its def alot of biting going on shit just look @ all these dudes with intros and outros and shit lol ..... makes good for crowd participation but when everyone has one it kind of waters it down .... i remember when head ice used to do it that shit was mad ill .......... not sure if he was the first but that was one of the first dudes i remember doing that ....

I remember the Rex/Tec battle back in 08. That was the first time I heard of Tec. When he did that shit in the beginning, it was the wackest shit to me. I still don't know what he's spelling or saying. Anyways, fast forward to now, everyone has some kind of catch phrase. And that shit didn't catch on til like late last year. Matter of fact, I think DNA was one of the first with a catch phrase (get him the fuck outta here).

ha ha he used that one against ness and got him pretty good too lol ... hey as long as its entertaining i guess its a good thing ... battle rap is expanding and going to the next level ... i just hope dudes can keep elevating and not be biting each others qualities, secrets weapons, flows etc........

wait wait wait........im about 6 min in. so Ness has spit about a good 10-12 bars and none have been wack. the crowds been with him and laughing. He isnt KILLING DNA but he's far from trash..again im only *7* min in and the only time he said some iffy shit was when he did that roll call & tried to use DNAs catch phrase..
