That third round was unfuckwittable. There were no over exaggerated hyperbolic gun talk, no fabricated threats, no over the top kidnappings etc....Lux basically told Calico how big of a fuck up his father was, how his father's relationship with him and his moms was a disaster....you could tell Calicoe was hurt after the Harriet Tubman line.

I think all that "Lux bodied him" shit is an exaggeration, the battle was rocky as hell for duke until his monstrous 3rd round. He was Ali on the ropes during the Foreman fight up until that point, then he came hard at the end.

It was similar to the Hitman/Verb battle where Verb was on the ropes at times but came with such a hard 3rd that it looked like he slaughtered him.

Finishing strong > starting strong I guess. Lux left a stronger lasting impression but duke choked in the 1st rd (horribly, and he had excess time to catch himself) and half his 2nd had niggas yawning. Calicoe was at least consistent throughout the battle.

Cal being mad and emo about the coffin, the crowd, the picture and the shit at the third round didn't help his case at all but he did his thing. He should have maintained his composure better.

I agree, the battle was closer than people are making it seem, it was a toss up until that 3rd round. U made an interesting point with that finishing strong statement, cuz their saying, Clips was the better rapper for the first 2 rounds against Jones, and then finished off with a mediocre 3rd round, while jones had an ill 3rd round, so Im anxious to see how that turned out.

im telling you @jono i watched it 3 times, all cali had was simple gun talk metaphors them shits don't fly as far as flat out jokes and they also become very very redundant. On a few recaps , people were sayin that they heard he choked on purpose, to me personally it didnt look like it was intentional. Even if it was, its gonna go down as one of da top 3 worse chokes in battle rap. So for him to have one of da worse chokes of alltime, u know that nigga was spittin some fire in dem next 2 rounds.
