1. One or two songs about bitches, MAX. On an album with "Lights Please" and "In The Morning", "Can't get Enough" would've sufficed. Way too many songs about women on here.
2. More diverse subject matter. Cole is at his best when he is being socially conscious/reflective, there is a reason "Breakdown" is arguably the best song on the album. "Mr. Nice Watch" is cool and all, but the album wouldn't suffer without it.
3. Make the songs about SOMETHING. Cole isn't so good when he's just rambling off on a tangeant, he needs to pick a subject for the songs and stick to the topic. "Lights Please" is conceptually one of the best songs I've ever heard, and he executed it perfectly. Songs like "Cole World" and "Rise and Shine" are musically nice, but seem a little disjointed. STICK TO THE CONCEPTS
4. Work on the hooks. That Cole World chorus is atrocious,
"Got a hundred fifty bitches in the club starin' at me
How that feel? very happy !"
It was funny when I thought it was a freestyle. Not so much when I found out you wrote that shit
5. Punchlines. Stop it breh, Everytime I hear "You can't outfart me" I shake my head in shame. "Brighter than a Polo Shirt" is also Lil Wayne-esque
