The ONLY dope song leaked supposedly to be on that album IMO is this . . .

thats when the anticipation for Detox was at it's highest, IMO... I thought this song was sick, I still play it to this day, but it aint seeing the album. But thats Dre's fault for not having a strict security on his shit, about 3-4 other tracks leaked along with this, all referenced by TI.. I honestly think that's nonsense on Dre's part.

Dre will not meet the expectations... its too fuckin high right now. It's pretty much damn impossible, he can feature all of the most respect rap artists we have right now underground & mainstream with some of the craziest, totally innovative productions we've heard in years and still people will say "after 10+ years, this is all you can do???"

He did it to himself.

Em was callin Dre out. Something he has never done before. It's has always been what Dre says, Eminem does. This time eminem played a mentor role.

That's what I did, be smart, don't be a retard

You gonna take advice from somebody who slapped DEE BARNES??!

Mr. Dre? Mr. N.W.A.?

Mr. AK comin' straight outta Compton y'all better make way?

How in the fuck you gonna tell this man not to be violent?

That's from his very first album.

If he isn't writing his rhymes, or producing the beats... what he doin? And dont give me any of that mastering bullshit... if hes not on the credits he didn't produce it

all he's doing is fulfilling his contract or risk beign sued sooner or later

but it just doesn't feel like he really gives a shit about making another album. They made 2 videos and dre didn't look too energetic in either. that's why we haven't got anything creative or progressive. it's not an excuse for wack ass music but I really don't think he cares and will just drop whatever b/c the fans and label are clamoring for it. plus after chilling for 10plus years some doubt creeps in

I agree with this thread I'm a huge Dre fan and I don't understand why this nigga is dropping music without his own beats? What's the point? I'm a realist not a dick riding fan and this should be further proof that this nigga can't come up with shit in the studio and should just say fuck Detox and hang it up.

If he doesn't release something with his name on it, he loses his tax write offs on all the artists he dropped...

Moral of the story: pay your taxes!

I agree it's kinda weird.

But as far as the whole "ghostproducing" discussion in here, it's been said for years.

I mean Warren G produced Ain't No Fun and etc but then Dre got the full credit. Dre didn't take the credit as the "mixer", but the one who actually produced it..even though he didn't.

I found myself disinterested in I Need A Doctor so I hope he has some better material. To state the obvious this album will be a let down regardless due to the hype and long wait. Unless it changes the earth's orbit or some shit.

i think detox is gonna be his white album

La Roux's Elly Jackson reveals that Dre has sampled the vocals for one of the duo's biggest hits.

To say Dr. Dre's Detox has been long-awaited and long-overdue may be considered an understatement to fans who have anticipated the album for more than a decade. After releasing two singles from the upcoming album, "Kush" and "I Need A Doctor ," Dre has received some mixed reviews about the different sounds he has been experimenting with.

La Roux's Elly Jackson revealed to BBC Radio 1 on Wednesday that Dre is further pushing the envelope, sampling the Skream remix of the duo's hit, "In For The Kill."

"He got really excited about the track which is obviously really complimentary," she said. "He did something with it and then sent it to us and [asked] can he use it for his record and we said 'Yes.'" She also said, "[He's used] mainly the vocal and then he put his own beats on it. It's supposed to be on the next record."

Jackson claims that Dre heard the original track while watching an episode of Entourage that the song was featured in.

"Apparently he and The Game were sitting watching Entourage together. My manager always jokes that they were eating ice cream under blankets and having a girl's night in."
