I'm rooting for Taggart, they'll be back in contention in three years. USF should keep the momentum and hire Charlie Strong, it'd be a home run hire.

Not sure they will pay enough for Strong but that would be a homerun hire for both sides.

Plus, I believe Strong would lose that $10M from Texas if he takes a HC job.

If Houston passes on Kiffin, I think he would want USF.

Kiffin's kids live in Tampa and his wife is from the Gainesville.

I don't like the fit for Taggart @ Oregon though. Hope he does well though.

Strong would still get the $10m and UT would pay the difference between that and his HC salary

David Cornwell will be third Bama backup quarterback to transfer

Alabama reserve quarterback David Cornwell announced Wednesday that he is transferring out of the program.

Cornwell, the No. 4-ranked pocket passer in the 2014 ESPN 300, is the third quarterback to transfer since freshman Jalen Hurts established himself as the Crimson Tide's starter this season. Blake Barnett left the program in late September and recently announced his transfer to Arizona State; backup Cooper Bateman is planning to transfer also, though a source told ESPN he's expected to stay with the team through the College Football Playoff.

Seems like the transfer are more due to the Tua kid coming in. That and just a complete change in style of offense.

The Tua should go to another school where he would have a chance to start right away. Because he's sitting for at least two years.

He should come to Texas. SEC ain't the place for an elite QB, come light up the scoreboard in the QB league.

If Kiffin goes there, I think he'll follow. But that was the only way he would flip to LSU. He's a big Marriota fan and Oregon has been in play for him.

Looks like my Houston Cougars are going to hire Lane Kiffin. U guys rate him?

He's gone in two years

I don't think that's a good hire for Houston. They need to get somebody that gon be there for at least 5 years
