Lmao but my man you going way off base...harrassing somebody on defense because bev is tenacious and wanted to set a tone on behalf of the entire league is different from bullying

It's lonzo's first game he's only worried about trying to win and set up teammates while also adjusting to playing FORREAL, I'm saying it's hard to imagine him feeling like he was in total control especially since they were losing. If you not in control and you going through situations for the first time, very rarely are you going to assert yourself like that.

As I said, that's a tough player to go against in your first game, lonzo probably had nightmares over that shit

lonzo got the target on his back but i dont think his pops raised a punk either

i think he will adjust and be just fine

cool thing to do these days is to rush to call folks trash

its wild

but the problem with rebuilding a franchise with a player who isnt a great scorer (lonzo) is that you need to pray the pieces around him develop

his strength (his passing ability) is only as impactful as his teammates around him

lonzo is the least of the lakers concern

Lakers will be better with KCP back he can run the wing on the break with ball. I forgot lakers still have the corpse of luol deng

Homie said lonzo not being assertive is alarming after game 1 of 82

Let that boy get used to playing in the NBA a bit before you go that far. Like in January you could have a case, but now? Nah you expect a 19-20

Year old to have a steely resolve or top dawg mentality out the gate? Now don't get me wrong there are outliers but You see marquese Chriss emotional ass? He probably getting in TJ Warren's face right now for fouling him too hard with borderline tears. But the difference is, lonzo is the leader, he has to control an entire offense

all i know is when Beverly pushed lonzo for his first foul, none of the other lakers came to check Beverly

Hardaway was perfect for the hawks cuz they emphasizs ball movement.

Imagine him on the spurs replacing danny green.

Hardaway would suck because he doesn't play defense and had a shitty shot selection. So most likely unless he changed he would be riding the pine next to Udoka

Green works because he can take criticism, plays defense, knows his lane and stays in it. The 1st game this season he did do a little more than usual though. Maybe his handle is getting a bit better.

danny green got a new fade and out here hitting step back jumpers now

he does seem to have added some things to his game

better ball handling

a step back jumper

leading the fast break

etc

i dont know how much this has to do with kawhi being out and this being a contract year but if he can go from absolute disaster to a little below average sg at creating off the dribble it would just be icing on the cake because hes already super valuable just for the 3&D parts of his game

hes become too predictable to defend over the years because he was only a threat from 3

and aint nobody calling Lonzo trash i just said a nigga push u down, push u around u get up and get in his face, let him know that shit aint working round here....no matter who or when it is...

In one training camp, Willy Hernangomez went from franchise cornerstone to waiting for garbage time. The 23-year-old, touted by the front office as a core piece, was a DNP until the final four minutes of Thursday’s 105-84 blowout defeat to the Thunder. Jeff Hornacek said New York’s surplus of centers left Hernangomez as the odd-man out behind Enes Kanter and Kyle OQuinn. The coach relayed that message to the Spaniard on Thursday morning. “We have a lot of bigs,” Hornacek said. “(O’Quinn) and Enes earned the minutes in training camp. Willy’s not far behind. He’s got to keep working. When you got that many bigs, you can’t play them all. The other guys earned the minutes. I told all three of them it doesn’t matter if you’re in the rotation or out of rotation. If you’re in it, you’ve got to earn it to keep it.

@AZTG

This is my issue.

Im not sitting here saying that Hernangomez is better than Kanter at this moment. Though its arguable.

All im saying is what we should be focused on is developing Hernangomez because he has the potential to be way better than Kanter. And not only should we just be developing him, we should be developing him together with KP and Frank so that in 2-3 years when they hit their prime, they fit each other well.

But instead the Knicks are trying to win games, which even then, starting Hernangomez is still a better move for that too.

Hernangomez had something to do with the KP and Hornacek beef late last season. Supposedly Hornacek told KP to stop playing like a bitch, and KP reacted to it like a bitch would.

Im wondering if there is more to that story and now Hornacek just being petty.

29 outa 30 teams, i woulda been like nah thats a reach.

But we talking about the Knicks..
