Duke is built for a NCAA Championship run this year unlike last year, when we had 2 talented forwards - in Jabari and Rodney Hood - and no legit center nor point guard.

Our roster is more complete now. [/size=4]

Looks like the very first post in this thread (which coincidentally happens to be mine) was prophetic.

It's obvious Coach K has changed and adapted to the current culture of the game, he went from abhorring freshmen who could potentially leave early and building teams around veteran upperclassmen with limited NBA potential... to recruiting and stockpiling one & done NBA talent.

He's even recently removed his famous (military background influenced) policy regarding hair length and ear piercings. Now the black Duke players (and future recruits) can grow their hair out or even have fros/braids/dreads if they desire.

Anyone notice something different about this year's starting five compared to the previous years of military buzzcuts and clean cuts:

Is the draft different for the women's side? Because ain't no way a men's basketball player is winning MOP of the tournament 3 straight years. Breanna Stewart probably could've been playing professionally.

I don't know. I think maya moore played all 4 years.

The nerve of these NCAA fuckers. NOW, they wanna do a probe about missed calls, most notably a probe on the missed out-of-bounds call on Justice Winslow that led to the clinching 3.

Where was that shit on Saturday? I guess when the great white hype goes down, these saltines stay salty about it.

Auriemma seems like an asshole.

Hes a winner. The reason he wins is hes stopped sugarcoating and pushed women to play harder. You don't just build a program in Storrs CT out of nothing. That's why Calhoun and Geno to me are among the goats in college basketball. Both them cats built empires without much booster money or a previous sense of greatest in a cold ass middle of nowhere part of Connecticut. Were not talking Tobacco road or Indiana where college basketball is life. We talm bout Eastern Connecticut. There wasnt nothing but farms out there before both those teams won and got that school money.

He can be an asshole and a winner at the same time.

Yeah I'm gonna lean with this one

Reports say both Harrison twins entering the draft

Feel bad for those kids bc i think the UK pedigree and the implied way things work at UK with the empending new class kinda pushes these dudes out. Neither is even projected as 1st rounders and Aaron may not be drafted

For the first time i have fault with Pitino, bc in ordinary situations coaches would tell them 'u need another year', but with Cal he probably tells all these nggas to bounce to make room

They should've gone last year when their stock was higher.

I think Andrew improved his stock this year Aaron tho was coming off a huge tourney last year so he fucked up not leaving. Both will probably be solid role players at the next level. Andrew is Javaris Crittenton and Aaron Karim Rush

You right, I would prefer they stay too. But with the new gaurds coming and Ulis coming on strong its gonna be a log jam in the back court.

But shit if I was them and I felt pressured to leave and I wasn't ready I would just transfer.

And sit out a year? Thats not a logical option

The elephant in the room is the HS recruiting rankings dont always align with NBA projections. Not that they should, but makes you wonder if anyone is telling them this

The Harrison twins were top 5 HS recruits, so was Cliff alexander

But within minutes of watchin them play you can see they r not elite NBA prospects lol Especially Alexander, i imediately saw he was gassed.

But...they get gassed and feel they have to go based on where they were ranked in HS

Work on they game with no pressure.

And it's better than bouncing around the d league or over in Russia.

There's an article on espn.com with Cal saying he's probably going to stay another year because he was injured and it hurt his draft stock...he tells them the truth then let's them make their own decisions.
