Maryland getting worked by UCONN. I don't see them coming back

Yeah, this shit is over. Connecticut is unselfish, has consistent shooting, and defense. That's hard to beat, especially under that kind of pressure. Props to Maryland for not going, though.

Kaminsky goin be another Christian Laetner in the league. They goin wreck his ass.

I still think UK got robbed coming down the stretch, but the ISO shit didn't help them either.

The no call on the flagrant cancels out the shot clock violation. UK did not get robbed. They got beat.

VCU job security >>>>

he has allot of job security at texas as well. its texas basketball not football. for as great of a pr and developmental coach he is he will have much more security. a person like smart wont get fired unless he has a scandall. If you have a known rep like smart and given the easy feat that is a college basketball season with about 5 or 6 guarunteed wins vs scrubs its easy not being fired at smarts level.

Man, it doesn't matter what sport it is, they'll fire him if they feel that he isn't progressing fast enough. This ain't Commonwealth, this is Texas, which has one of the biggest athletic budgets in all of college sports, its nothing for them to buy out his contract and hire someone else.

actually it does because at a program like texas "progression" means 2 totally different things when it comes to baksetball and when it comes to football. The leash is allot shorter for a Charlie Strong in the Austin Market than it is for Smart. Plus the amount of games you have to win is so much less in college ball. Likewise football is the money maker for most schools basketball revenue helps but its not a must have. Smart could have a solid regular season record make an elite 8 or a few sweet 16'sin a 5 year span and that is all he needs. Charlie Strong could make a college football playoff in a 5 year span and still be fired.

Duh, because football is a religion in the state of Texas. Football is to Texas what basketball is at Kentucky.

which is my whole point on Smart not having a huge amount of chance of being fired. Mens college basketball is the easiest college or professional major sport to keep your job. Some of these coaches ride on so much mediocrity and still are left standing baring a few major powerhouses.
