Bottom line, that tanking and "hoping my team loses for draft picks" ish is wack.

It's not wack if your team has a good GM n scout team in place. For me I'm more then comfortable w the Cs tanking cuz Danny has proved over the years he knows what he is doing....

Look @ the team you root for case..they got "lucky" (all teams get lucky that's why its called a lottery) w getting a lottery pick in Durant that panned out BUT their front office did an excellent job adding pieces around him..

It's all what your front office does w the opportunities they are given.

There are teams who go whole decades getting top draft picks and still ain't shit. GM's don't get paid 7 figures to cross their fingers, bruh. foh

Wanting your team to lose under any circumstance is lame. If you want them to lose when they're bad - don't bother poppin' shit when they're good. That's basically bandwagoning your own team. Actually worse.

It's easy to say that when your team isn't horrid. If your team is garbage juice each win is another year of mediocrity & torment. Trust me I know.

And folks stay caping Chicago... been a bunch of almost ass niggas for the past 5 years or so.

Your team has advanced past the 1st round once in 13 years and hasn't won a championship since 1973.Bulls have done more in the last 5 years than your team has done since the new millennium and did more in a 3 year span than your team has done in it's 67 year history.

Even last year a bulls team expected to be a 7-8 seed went 4-0 vs the knicks in your best season since the 90's put that in perspective

And the irony of this post is exactly what I was referring to. If this Rose injury is serious you can probably kiss all that goodbye. Welcome to the club, breh.

But how do you think OKC got built? im sure they weren't tanking but ya'll are built off high draft picks.

When did I say we didn't build thru the draft? I've said numerous times that Presti is my favorite asset on the team -- over any player on the team.

They were built off of *well-used* draft picks and risky-yet-effective trades before and after Durant.

Another part of building a team is doing everything you can to make sure the players that you do have on the roster develop as much as possible so that they can at least be attractive trade bait when you get your eyes set on a pick or player that you *really* want.

If you "purposely" let your whole team turn to shit that leaves your squad with no trade pieces, poor TV ratings, fan support/enthusiasm, no interest from prospective free agents.

Makes no sense. A GM has to use the draft just like a Coach uses a clipboard and a player uses the ball.

Jordan ain't the greatest of all time because Phil Jackson drew up plays for Pippen to keep passing him the ball. He's the GOAT because of what he did with it when he got it.

In 2008 we were on pace for the worst record in NBA history. Then Choke-neck got fired a few minor moves were made to the roster and we ended up winning 20 out of our last 40 or so games.

Big difference between tanking and rebuilding. Tanking is just a silly mythical ass concept created by fans and wack sports writers.

Damn, this Rose shit don't sit right wit me and he ain't even on my squad.

I just hate seeing great players get beat by shit like this.

Even if I hate a team or a player, I'd rather see them get their soul snatched on the field/court by just getting beat.

Hope this season don't end up like last year with a bunch of teams advancing in the playoffs because of who "ain't" on the court instead of who "is" on the court. smfh

Sucks for Rose but as far as Bulls fans go that's that karma for that ass for every single Amare wise crack ever made in these NBA threads.

D-Rose my nigga I hate it had to be him.

Fuck you and your wack ass knicks nigga

I feel for that boy rose he's a humble dude that just wants to play ball man smh. I hope this isn't a tmac/stat situation where those knees just can't get right cause this dude waay to young to be going through season ending injuries like that.

if he has indeed torn his other one he'll end up becoming no more than a mid level guard at best , two torn ACL's there's no way he'll return to elite form.

Word, and it's actually alot of value in being an overachieving team with a wack roster.

1. It makes your team much more attractive to free agents. No marquee free-agent wants to go to a wasteland. And it also jumpstarts the rebuilding process.

2. The players who overachieved become attractive trade pieces to get better players. (might even be able to trade up to into a decent draft spot without having to "earn" it by being a garbage squad.)

3. Better TV ratings and fan turn-out (and now in the luxury tax era, it really does matter how much money your team makes -- If your team is in the red financially, they are MUCH less likely to go into the luxury-tax because then they would lose money for winning too. Lose/Lose situation.)

Well at least Rose signed that Mega-deal just in time.

Might be the end of that shit from these shoe companies. The two biggest deals that I can think of the last 15 years was Iverson's Reebok deal and Rose's deal. Bad shit happened with both immediately afterward.

I think Iggy tore his hammy. Said he "heard something pop." I been there.

Gasol might be out longer than 10 weeks. And if/when he does, he'll be a liability in every way except for outside-the-paint jumpers. He already knock-kneed as it is.

Sometimes all a team have to win is through the draft especially if free agents don't wanna come to your squad

1. who said anything about teams who GMs didnt get it done??

2. who said as whole, a GMs job is based on luck...i said the lottery is based on being lucky....(the luck of the draw)

and 3. no...wanting your team to tank, there is a purpose for that...(at least with me there is)

you and axel wrap your head around this..

the point is to win a chip..nobody is playing just to be the 8 seed or even the 5th seed every year and not win. why you think the nets changed up the brand?. You dont want your team to be just in "the middle of the pack", and NEVER ACCOMPLISH shit..

let's look at all the teams who won titles in most recent history?

heat

lakers

spurs

celtics

and that's it! word that ish sit well with you a fan of your team?

2m5ne6b.jpg

....

where's OKC at, where's the bulls at, where's the knicks at, where the nuggets at...

and that aint taken shots at anyones team...that's just being real...the nba is limited in talent the only way you can build for a championship is either through the draft (with a good GM) which nba draft sucks now a days or free agency where players now team up with each other..

who the fuck got time to celebrate your team just being good? what?

2m5ne6b.jpg

and nobody tell me about my fan-hood, i been rocking with the Celtics since they had katz like dee brown and ed pinckney..

sorry if nobody here likes me wanting my team to tank...i know why i'm doing it.
