oh really?.. I coulda sworn Durant was launchin up threes from half court damn near and not speakin up allowing Westbrook to take over. Durant went missing and didnt demand the ball for 2-3 games. but since they like him it was Westbrooks fault. Mello and the Knicks got swept Kobe got swept so if they are gonna judge Lebron and take him off the top 5 list cuz of his 6 game Dallas series after winning 3 other series why dont those cats get taken down as well? seems like u missed my point.

i cannot put somebody on top who performs like lebron did in both his finals appearances and all his early round exits. at the end of every one of lebrons playoff seasons we're left wondering "what happened to lebron?" with his passive play, and looking outright scared, "injuries" or off-court issues/rumors. whether its him appearing to quit, or just flat out being unable to perform under the pressure of the big stage...

he used to get by on that "he dont have enough help/cavs were a bunch of bums" excuse, but that shit is OVER!!!!! his 3rd option avg 19 ppg that series. and mario chalmers played exceptionally well as a role player/6th man and he had plenty of veterans

out of respect for his abilities i cant drop him lower than 3, and i know he can and likely will eventually redeem himself. but for now, his #1 days are finished.

yes i know neither wade nor kobe won this year. and both had shaky/questionable performances in the past also, but nothing like what weve seen from lebron

I respect ur post. But does Kobe get punished for his sweep to the same Dallas team? And does Lebrons other 3 series this postseason dont count? I am disgusted at how he played in the Finals as well. Do the bad games Wade had vs Chicago dont count either? whats the criteria?

yes but im also taking into account that this is 33 yo kobe on the decline after 3 straight finals trips and back to back championships.

can you imagine prime 2006 kobe, with this heat team, up 2-1 in the nba finals... and out the blue just saying "fuck it..." and either being passive, or being shook of the moment and NOT puttin his foot on the mavericks neck?

as far as wade's performance, he was off, shot not falling... but he was never passive or gave up. he went to the cup and bitched about not getting the foul way too much, but at least he attacked. and he finally broke through, in that game 5, when he and lebron started hittin those crazy(and flukey) 3's to close out the bulls.

often times in the finals lebron straight up wanted NO parts of the ball.
