Good to see Odd getting his salutes!! Props Ruff Draft!

Eventually I will create a new album list and of course anything Oddisee or Trek Life will be copped.

I will, the good thing about bandcamp is you could post them on your page and play infinitely before you even buy it.

And honestly most of my music purchases have been digital, I haven't brought a disc in a minute (And I know theres classics out there!!)

I need to get a Bandcamp page… I listened to this album before copping the disc though; still have to wait until the end of the week before it arrives!

Let us know what you think when you've listened to it!!!

I really enjoyed this album, the instrumentation is unreal, only 1 sample was used for this album? The rest was all Oddisee, very impressed if that is the case. Very hard for me to choose between this and "Trophies" thus far, I think that this is superior to it in someways, but I am biased as O.C. is a rapper from my generation and I seem to be feeling it more. 100% quality either way. "That Real" is a standout for me. And "Ready to Rock" is on repeat in my head at the moment...lol

@achewon87 I'm with you as to the two best albums thus far.

Is that true about the lonesome sample? If so, agreed. But then Oddisee has always brought it production wise and seems really gifted on the boards… his use of Olivier Daysoul, or rather, his contribution to the album is epic too!

Have you checked out the O.C. project with the rest of them that just dropped? Everyone is calling it an empty collaboration with boring beats and rhymes… which is surprising.

Man… I actually feel the track that came after the album more so than anything on the actual disk - 'You Know Who You Are' Acoustic version with Olivier Daysoul. That track was a real underachiever on the album, I feel, but the solo guitar makes you wish for a complete album between the two. Oddisee's delivery is flawless.

Just did some research on the album, it seems all the samples are recreated, so no actual samples were used. Same thing Naughty did with the ABC/Jackson 5 for O.P.P. and UGK did for the Ridin' Dirty album.

As for the O.C. project you mentioned, are you talking about the D.I.T.C. album? I did not know it dropped yet, I will be checking it out for sure.

And I will need to check the acoustic version of "You Know Who You Are" your taking about here.

@achewon87 Props on the research…

No, I don't think that's dropped either yet. But it's called Luv NY. The album is by the same name. Group consists of Roc Marciano, Kool Keith, A.G. & O.C. (from D.I.T.C.), Kurious, and it's produced by Ray West.

You can see the album here.

But like I say, it's not received welcoming reviews from what I've read.

You Know Who You Are the acoustic version is here, as posted at the top of the thread:
