I hate that Silk the shocker/Rza comparison. They are nothing alike. If Rza and Silk are similar because of their flow. Then Tupac and Lil Zane, Guerilla Black and Notorious Big are similar too.

Bad analogy. Lil Zane and (especially) Guerilla Black purposely bit 2pac and Big.

Silkk and Rza are comparable because both of them can't ride a beat. Ofcourse Rza's lyrics are tighter but I don't know why we can't compare 'em to Silkk based on his flow. This ain't spoken word...

With that said I like Rza. He's a legend in the game. I was only explaining to Lab baby why some heads "hate" on him...

If rappers can be compared to each other because of flow or voice then Noe and Jay Z are similar too right?

why was i just jamming to this??

meth shoulda been the nicest...but he wasn't.....

he had a couple nice features...

the what

4,3,2,1

4:21 is so underrated... his best work in my opinion...

It's not better than Tical 2000, but that shit was flames. Not only a huge step from Tical 0, but a bangin ass album altogether. Presidential MC makes me wanna eat a small baby bear in front of its family.

Bars....The GZA

overall....Ghost

to me.....the most important thing for an emcee is the catalogue....ang Ghost's catalogue is miles ahead of all the Wu members....

and cappadonna is not trash

I'd put Noe in the same category as a Guerilla Black or Lil Zane. Maybe that's just his voice but when I first heard he came off as one of these emcees that bit Jigga. I know 10 years ago you had rappers like Sacario and Bathgate (if I remember correctly) that modelled their voice inflections and flow after Jay.

Neither Silkk or Rza bit one another. They were compared because of their inability to rap to the beat. That's why your analogy was off IMO. It's all love though. I think we gonna have to agree to disagree this time.

I said it before but I wanna emphasize that I like Rza as a rapper and producer. He made all this sh*t possible for the Wu...

Everybody should realize one thing...every group needs a face/star to make them marketable to mainstream accessible and Meth was that dude.

When the Wu blew the doors off the hinges in '93 with "Protect Ya Neck"/"Method Man" single, Meth's whole style and charisma shined the brightest through that single even though the main posse cut was banging itself, his B-side was the one that caught everyone ears the most. And if I'm not mistaken he was the first Wu member to get his solo deal with Def Jam, basically off his B-side solo. Even when the 36 Chambers debut dropped, the evidence was clear that Meth was the "face" i.e star of Wu Tang and was more accessible and being easy on the eyes of female consumers. Then you know afterwards Tical dropped, he goes platinum, wins the Grammy for "All I Need " with Mary J., movie roles etc.

You would've think he could have capitalized more by releasing more albums considering all those accolades and got too big for the rest of his Clan but he mentioned in an interview he's not that type of person because his Clan brothers/family comes first, which possibly hurt his potential, not to mention his wife was stricken with cancer with stunted his album output.

But overall, I think the post below summarizes what I'm saying.

If Method Man was more selfish he'd be up there with Nas and Jay as NY's greats. He put the Wu over his own solo career and I can respect that.
