Deck was the nicest. It's no coincidence he had the first 16 on alot of possecuts. Deck was the type of n*gga that had n*ggas rewriting their verse. Line for line nobody is seeing Deck.

While Deck might have been the nicest Meth had the most charisma out of that click. I also feel Meth was more compete than Deck. Deck shines on other peoples sh*t and Wu collabo's but his solo sh*t could've been better with considering how skilled he is IMO.

Meth had that x-factor most of them lacked. I always feel he could've been way bigger than he is after he dropped Tical but that's just my opinion.

Rae spoke on Meth being the star of the group recently. Check out his vid.

Deck's weakness in his albums were his beats and song concepts. Uncontrolled Substance was dope cuz it had Wu producers. But then he waited 4 years (a common mistake by most Wu Tang members) and dropped another album with no Wu producers. That threw his whole sound off. Outside of that, he's top 3 lyrically in the Wu. I prefer GZA and RZA (cats hate on him for no reason), but Deck is up there too.

Co-sign the part about Wu members waiting too long to drop a follow up. I think that was one of the major reasons Meth couldn't capitalize of the hype he was getting during '94/ '95. Uncontrolled Substance was aiight but compared to OB4CL, Tical or Ironman it fell short. I expected more when it dropped.

RZA made all that possible. I respect him for his production skills and business savvy. I think some heads "hate" him as you put it because he been rapping since the late 80ties and he a. still can't ride a beat for sh*t b. chooses to be offbeat most of the time. If people clown on Silkk why would RZA be excempt. I think he's aiight as an emcee but I can see why people aren't feeling him as a rapper. Same with Talib Kweli.

I hate that Silk the shocker/Rza comparison. They are nothing alike. If Rza and Silk are similar because of their flow. Then Tupac and Lil Zane, Guerilla Black and Notorious Big are similar too.

Method Man wasn't the nicest, that would be Ghost, but I feel like he is the most important member aside from RZA. Without Meth Wu is nothing. Meth also doesn't get his fair share of props for his skills on the mic. He bodied GZA on "Shadowboxin," and the first Tical album is wildly underrated.

Ghost has like 10 solo albums,

I think Wu heads know what it is.

1.tical

odb return o the 36

Liquid Swords

Iron Man

And obfcl

Were all classics and tge wu tang forever dropped.

During that time I will say it was very even at the top... but Ghost, Rae, Rza, Gza, Deck, Meth were lyrical Giants. Masta killa was nice too now.

UGod was just there and ODB was the Most entertaining.

Cappadona cane through on obfcl and Ironman.

See Icewater, Iron Maiden, Winter Wars.

Wu to me is like how Pac and Big is to a lot of dudes.

To me they set the bar.

RZA can't be compared to Silkk, RZA at least has lyrical content to make up for his offbeat flow. Each Wu member was meant to have a different chamber, and not all of them are gonna hit the ears of the causal listeners. RZA, Masta Killa and U God are in that category. Rae and Ghost were for the streets, Deck and GZA were for the heads, and ODB and Mef were the stars. I dont think Wu would've worked if everyone tried to have a polished flow like Mef. But back to the topic at hand, I think Mef hurt the Wu by not taking advantage of his star power and dropping more albums.

Sidenote: I think Deck was been supposed to come out, but his album was lost in that infamous flood if I'm not mistaken.

We'll they are same flow

Lyrics wise I think Gza is the best but albums wise Ghost is the most consistent artist in hip hop, dare I say music history.

Ghost has an ear for beats, lyrics are always on point, good concepts, funny skits and shit talking, good flow and criminally underrated by the fact that he knows his lane and has perfected it

Bad analogy. Lil Zane and (especially) Guerilla Black purposely bit 2pac and Big.

Silkk and Rza are comparable because both of them can't ride a beat. Ofcourse Rza's lyrics are tighter but I don't know why we can't compare 'em to Silkk based on his flow. This ain't spoken word...

With that said I like Rza. He's a legend in the game. I was only explaining to Lab baby why some heads "hate" on him...

Someone needs to steal that dumbest things said in the cheap seats thread, make one in the reason and throw that silk the shocker/RZA comparison in there, foh with that shit
