It's kind of hard to argue with cold hard facts of Murder and Crime. A study done on a control group doesn't hold weight against national statistics.

There is no nation that is atheist, secular maybe but not atheist. Show me one.

I have been to secular and theocratic nations and can tell you I have never felt safer than when I was in a theocratic nation. Well except in the far east, but I would even classify them as theocratic because of the high moral standard and recognition of a higher state of being.

I have been to secular and so-called atheist countries and theocracies and that is just not true. I have never felt safer than when I was in a theocratic country. Laughing at secular countries being safer but have way more security measure. I have been to places where I could leave my cash in my hotel room unattended and my door unlocked. I have seen people leave their place of business for an extended period of time with their ware out in the open and cash still in the register.

That UK article was kind of weak. All they talked about was the US and a few other countries. Who did they study? What countries did they study that were theocratic? What indicators are they using?

It's really all subjective.
