Now I would go that far and say he is a better lyricist then all of Wu Tang. Maybe a few of them, but I didn't even know Redman was in WuTang?? But I think the cats who isn't diggin 40 are normally east coast cats, or people who was never with the Bay Area/Hyphy movement. I'm from the west so off top, 40 is a staple to my collection of music, but if I wasn't from this side of the map and didn't understand the Hyphy Bay area movement I doubt I would like E-40 all that much either. But I do notice that West coast cats show love to east coast hip hop but we don't get the same in return. I got fam out in Philly who was just telling me at the age of 27 he has never even heard a Devin the Dude or E-40 song, because they just don't get played over on the East Coast.
