This album is just a sequel to her first album. So she didn't do anything new. It's just meh. Too much derivative shit on here. I actually thought her first album was ok. But when you make somewhat of a carbon copy of a previous work it's boring. And that's what this album was. Being better than Roman Reloaded isn't sayin much. It's obvious that every album after her debut (even her re-release) was done to prove something or give people what they want. Roman Reloaded was so pop to capitalize off of Super Bass. Then when people said she went too pop, she dropped that Re-Up re-release full of rushed rap songs. Now she wants to prove that she can make a serious, cohesive, "classic" album. She's a little bit lost artistically.

I think so too.... I feel Nicki is more of a personality than an artist tho, the calender shit is part of the eventual transition. She not gonna be making music in 5 years but she can definitely have a career doing stuff around the scenes & becoming more of a business woman a la 50 Cent, Eve, T.I., she could a better job in TV shows, movies, hosting TV shows, perfumes, clothing, shit like that.

That barbie shit was a gift and a curse, while it got her on, it's not an image of who she really is and once the audience has that idea of you in their heads it's hard to change such a perception.... unless you've got a level of creativity which just keeps people in awe, which I don't think she has either, given that her albums haven't shifted anything creatively in the culture. Not necessarily a bad thing tho, depending on what you after.
