That's the pride of a New Orleans Nigga.

Growing up and seeing this shit first hand and even being raised like this, even as a young kid I realized early that the only way to prove a point as a man in new Orleans is to be respected, is by killing. The pride of new Orleans people in general is some crazy shit, niggas can't be told NOTHING, if they know they wrong or feel like someone one uped them, they resort to extreme measures.

I to this day, make sure I think of the bigger implications of any decisions, especially of how was raised or conditioned. A nigga can call me all kinds of names right now and I learn to take a step back, because where I come from niggas literally be losing their lives over the most smallest shit ever just because of their pride.

And the shell shocked mentality is true. My city is just numb to murders, sadly is apart of the culture where "gotta get it how you live". Pray for my city daily. So much potential in people there man.

I honestly believe more NATIONAL exposure will create an atmosphere where more implications of uplifting pooerer cities and wards with support will help. Better education, more money and donations and efforts towards schools and summer activities, and attention will help. If anything, people will become embarrassed and ashamed to only air out their dirt for white America to see, and eventually try to come together to prove a point that we Black folk are NOT a lost cause.

Then again that's the hope man. Like I said, my city has so much potential, but hatred is deep in our roots.
