That Nas/Game joint was smooth. Nas needs to let either Just Blaze,Alchemist , or Premo produce his whole project. Or even Rick Ross Executive Producing the album.

Props to Just Blaze for acknowledging that Beans beat sounds like go-go, alot of these mainstream beats be go-go beats and niggas dont eeen know it.

That Beans track is tough tho

Unreleased. If it was truely fire, it would have been released.

Nah fam, some of Nas' best music was unreleased. Lost Tapes is a classic imo.

This isnt a secret or anything but a lot of shit dont get released cause of sample issues. I dont know the story behind those tracks from Lost Tapes, maybe just didnt "fit" the album at the time.

Well an album is supposed to have around 12-15 songs right?

So lets say you've been in the studio for the past month and you have 40-50 songs recorded, obviously some tracks are gonna get cut because they're inferior, but thats all a matter of opinion.

The final album needs two or three radio singles which leaves room for about 10 more songs. I can see how dope songs get left on the cutting room floor when the album gets mixed and mastered.

In fact, now that I think about it, the executive producer/A&R might pick the songs that are least costly to sample, not necessarily the best songs. So if song A costs $20,000 for the sample clearance and song B is $75,000 for the sample clearance, sometimes the Executive Producer might pick song A even if song B has a tighter beat.
