I was 4 or 5 jamming to nwa, eazy e, ice t, dj quik, king t, and all them in the late 80s cause my Pops would regularly have his homies over on the weekends drinking and playing cards and that's what they would be jamming on.

There is no such thing as "new heads"

It's people who appreciate hip hop vs fuck niggas

How old are you?

I'm 25. So by your assumption I'm not an old head. And I definitely don't consider myself a new head because I've been listening to hip hop religiously since 95-96

So you've been listening to hip hop religiously since you were 3-4 years old? You was bumpin junior mafia tapes in 95? man FOH

My sister's are 10 years older than me, and were hip hop heads. And yes I knew "been around the world" word for word when I was 5.

I had full conversations when I was four. And yes they let me listen to AAOM then.

Ain't my fault u was bumping backstreet boys b

boys will talk there way out of anything ....

you know what you was really listening to?..

Aint nothin y'all will say that will convince me a 4 year old child that can barely read was listening to hip hop.Your uncles, aunts, sisters whoever could of played the music and you heard the melody but you didn't know wtf was being said.4 year olds don't understand the concepts of stray bullet or I gave you power

This is as ridiculous as a dude telling me he was 5 watching kareem abdul jabbar man stop it.Toddlers don't have the cognizance skills to understand a hip hop song sorry.

We got kids out here reading and comprehending what they're reading at 18 months and you somehow think a 5 year old can't comprehend a hip hop song???

Shit, I could comprehend Gil Scott-Heron's "Ghetto Code" and "H2O Gate Blues" at 6 when my pops brought that record home in '78. Shit, for the longest I could recite Ghetto Code in its entirety from memory.

Y'all aint gotta lie to kick it.You were not 3-5 years old comprehending hip hop songs.

Now everybody was 5 listening to hip hop, you niggas clowns.

Just 'cause you were short-bussin it since pre-school don't mean everybody was.

Besides, these days the rap shit has so little substance it would be simple for a 5 year old to "get it". Shits is Mother Goose Cat In The Hat level shit.

@konceptjones ....Add The Last Poets to the mix and pops did the same to me with those albums. I remember Q-Tip saying if a kid keeps hearing something they're gonna pick up on it regardless.
