One other thing that I found interesting was the Video Soul interview...I can remember very well watching it when I was a kid, about 9 or 10. Of course, being that young I didn't pay attention to the nuances, I was just geeked about NE being on tv...seeing that played out in the movie, then going back to watch the actual interview for the first time since it originally aired had me bugging out...Ralph really was feeling some kinda way...I was waiting for Mike to punch Bobby who was obviously high as hell...

On another note...the movie didn't address Ralph having a drug problem at all...I remember hearing he got pretty deep in it as well...

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when they started seeing how each other was feeling..I'd like to think every last one of them looked at Ralph and said, "Brother, I'm sorry. I disn't know."

I really want to hear the album Ralph scrapped...

Yeah they really was on point with making sure even the exact same choreography they did at a show they made sure they did the exact same way in the movie.

That BET 25 performance, you could watch the real one and the one from the movie and them actors was on point.

Ricky Bell said alot of things in the movie even they didn't know the other person was feeling the way they did and right now they're going through something because the movie brought up old issues that were never really resolved because they didn't talk about them. Especially with Ralph. They never knew how much solo stuff he turned down til they saw the script because each member talked to the writers separately over the course of years to get the story right.

I read about Ralph and his drug problem but it was said he just became a super pot head. I never read he was on anything serious like Bobby and Ricky.

Only thing I don't get is the timeline towards the end though because the One Love album dropped in 2004 and the BET Anniversary special was in 2005...Devoe didn't get married til 2006 when I looked it up on Wikipedia...so when did they get cool enough to do an album again?

lmao...that s all i kept saying...im like Chris Webber has a little brother who acts?

the actor who played bobby was good. i was dying when he tried to hose BBD use the fire hose.

anything wood harris acts in imma watch

I enjoyed it

Still smash Lisa Nicole Carson

It was good to see the little Wire reunion

I heard that BET got great ratings off of this so they'll probably be looking to do more stuff like this. I'd like to see a Rick James joint next

Movie is ok but the story is pretty much what we expect from every black singing group movie.

Young and want to be a star to later finding out they they signed a bogus contract and wasn't making any money.

Then you have that one member with the fame going to his head and thinking he better than the group

And the talented person they eventually went solo

As far as the 3 parter, they could've got the same message apart in 2 parts. They didn't need to dwell that much time on when they were kids.

Lastly, there way too many commercials. I see BET is using movie to springboard all their upcoming projects. If I got to see Larry Fish as Mandela one more time and the fake sista Soulja

All in all I would say it's in the middle of the pack as far as biopic is concerned

its like bobby brown read david ruffin's playbook. that gumby shit was funny though. I don't know if that really happened but if its true its funny. that style was popular for 4 years.

It was good. Casting was on point, especially little Bobby Brown and Ralph. I had no idea about all the sacrifices Ralph made for the group. The recreations were on point, I remember watching that Video Soul interview back in the day and it was awkward for sure.

Yes!! I felt if they had to cut a few scenes out..then they should of made it a 5 part/day series....they didnt even really touch on BBD success...they could of spent a little time with it..but it was good. Wasnt feeling the casting of ricky bell. Also they didnt touch on Maurice Starr enough..and how he really played them..

and VH1 behind the music of New Edition did touch of a lot of this stuff a few years back, but it was still good to see the story being told.
