Only listened once because I saw this long thread on it. It was alright but nothing major, I honestly don't think he was addressing Jay-Z on here considering the tone was more or less like he was talking about someone with a smaller profile.

I said that his response, if we can even call it that, was plainly weak. The fact that he can get away with this weakness is exactly why I'm so disappointed with Hip-Hop these days. But as much as I want rap to be more competitive, that doesn't change the fact that Drake isn't going to be held accountable by the public and his fans. Just like he wasn't with Common. Just like he wasn't with Kendrick. And just like he won't be with Jay.

This was unheard of even as far back as '01. Your fans would crucify you and stop checking for you if you didn't show up to address niggas on wax. Nas felt this pressure, hell, even Rule felt this pressure and he didn't even have bars like that.

In other words, don't shoot the messenger. Description isn't endorsement. The game just ain't the same. At the end of the day, the public isn't going to lose sleep over a Jay-Z vs Drake beef, if we can even call it that. And yes, it's a damn shame.

This nigga even went as far as saying "you shoulda followed all my moves you gon realize till after" knowing dayum well he took a page outta Hov's book. Overall, very subtle, nothing blatant just subtle subliminals, he even explained what about all the other niggas "where did dey go ?". That was clever, I thought Hov had him fucked in a corner. To not do anything would have hurt Drake, but to equally drop a hotter track downplays Hov's disses, undermines him & has the general public now looking back at Jay...... this fuckin jewgro studied the game for real SMMFH but I fuckin respect it. He responded and that's all I wanted to hear. I'm starting to understand why he didn't go at Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick named off like 6 rappers, if Drake responded he would have lumped himself into that tier of rappers when he's not really on their level like that (he's multiplatinum - they're not). Kendrick would kill Drake lyrically, but I think Drake would look for a different win, in terms of career. Look at Jay-Z and Nas, Nas KILLED Hov there's no question about it, but Jay-Z arguably won the war b/c the comparison of their careers says something else. It's interesting....
