this is literally all his fucking fault.
if drake wins, that will be a direct result of the decisions he made as prez.
How so?
![]()
alllllllllll them niggas was making bad music and needed their shit pushed back, left unreleased or not promoted at all?
all of them?
word?
nigga changed the entire infrastructure of hip hop and you gon say how so?
WOOORRRD?!?!
No nigga...how does Jay pushing back a nigga's album years ago lead to Drake possibly "winning" today? Jay ain't change the infrastructure of hip-hop...It changed with the music industry and the internet becoming the go to place to get music.
stop reciting rhetoric.
you sound like Lars Ulric.
he made way for the untalented pop icons to be looked at as hip hop.
also... if you can't understand a ripple effect due to your brand loyalty then this conversation is pretty pointless dont you think?
1st it's not reciting rhetoric as if it's not actually true that the internet changed how we consume music, and also made it so anyone with a catchy hook and simple beat can be an instant one hit wonder. That was going to happen no matter who ran Def Jam or any other label period. Hip-Hop wasn't going to immune to that change no matter how badly people want to believe otherwise. 2nd the last thing is all you had to say. Jay's brand loyalty is where he went wrong during his Def Jam days. All the extra emotional reaction you gave wasn't needed.
mp3's and youtube have jack shit to do with why music is in the state it's in.
im sure there's some pretty lil infographic out there that illustrates that point.
piracy did not and does not play that big of a role in why music is the way it is.
also yes music was going to change as far as sonics go...
but the downward shift in talent? is jay's fault.
one need look no further than rhianna. she is proof positive of what i speak of. the woman is a talentless hack who cannot sing live.
jay cared about his brand while he was head of def jam, and made move to ensure it's survival, his brand got more shine than the others did. can't deny that shit.
what emotion? that shit sounded like you was raging against napster.

all these compliments seem forced... "gotta admit, he got skills... but..."
its ok to not like the shit guys...
That could also be read as forced hatred to not just admit the nigga can rap you just personally don't like the music he makes. Same as some niggas say about other rappers.
"the nigga can rap"? what does that even mean?
i think he sucks. anyone can rhyme words, literally... I liked a couple of his songs... if she drop something I like, Ill admit it.
You know what it means. Don't be purposely dense to try and prove a point. Is Drake a good rapper? Yes. Does he make the best music? Hell no. See how easy that is?
I don't think he's a good rapper. I don't HAVE to lie about it. I don't fear being perceived as a hater. u cats on the other hand...
Did I say you personally were doing that? No. I said some comments can perceived as forced hate too just like you said some come off as forcing themselves to try and like something. You took that shit way too personally

Sion im not even readin your titangraphs bro, so if you backtracked somewhere in there,my bad
But yall act like simply 'sending shots' is grounds for getting credit. What about the qualty of the shot? Plus, Drake has been 'sending shots' at Jay z for years. Fair enough. Those were clever b/c there was no beef, no pressure, n Jay woulda looked small if he replied to empty submiminals.
But here's the difference: The FIRST time Drake specifically dropped Jay's name, 2 weks later homeboy DEADED that LOL SMH *Pusha T yuck* So the lesson is, when the shyt hits the fan...when the shyt hits the fan brother, you GO IN!.
I.e. Jay threw lil shots at Game, then when it came time he dropped Dear Summer and DEADED that.
i.e. all them shots at Nas over the years, then when time came n names were dropped, he dropped Takeover
Drake's dumb ass is trying to use Jay's playbook, but he's mising pages. When your name is called out by a top guy, you GO IN. You dnt fukin send more 'shots'. Light ones at that smh Fuck boy with good music=Drake.
