Lol @ y'all hyping this shit. Meek doesn't have to do anything. All he did was say some shit on twitter, exposing the fact that a peer of his, Drake was cheating (the art of rap and his fans, by using reference tracks and songwriters).

Drake throwing subliminals changes NONE of what was exposed. It's already over. Drake can release ether part 2 and we still won't know if he wrote it or not. His integrity as an MC is finished.

Just think about that for a second, how is a diss track a valid response to someone saying you don't write your own raps? The best response would be to come up with some half truth, bullshit excuse as why there's a reference track, and confirm you do in fact write your raps, using the same platform the accuser used.

This whole "diss track" thing is to take the attention away from the fact that Drake got exposed, and y'all are falling for it. What's his explanation for the reference tracks?

ok so lets not act like a lot of rappers nowadays got ghostwriters

drake still shittin on the boy in all aspects of the game

meek cant even diss back cause first, he gon be mad emotional and yelling even more than before

second, what can he really say besides he dont write his own raps

truth is, nobody cares that he got a ghostwriter, not in this day and age

that's all heresay and speculation..where the proof at? we got proof that Drake is rap's Jose Canseco..where everybody else proof?

I can hear it in they raps

oh word you the ghostwhisperer

Call me patrick swayzy

but naw, sometimes you can hear when a rapper is not rapping how they do on the regular, or they sound like somebody else. Most of the time somebody else wrote that verse, or not even wrote it but gave it its flow, and the rapper just put the words in the right place

i think that has more to do with rappers now a days being less innovative overall and following trends...it's like when that whole "supa dupa flow" ("I fill her up...balloons") was a thing..EVERYBODY was doing it seemed like

And then for a while it seemed like everybody had at least one verse with the "Migos flow"

Ppl just ride waves now

Nobody is falling for it. I had a brief convo with another dad at my sons swim lessons of all places. He just brought it up out of the blue about Drake having ghost writers. People are talking. Drake is now regulated to the class of rappers like Diddy, Dr Dre and Timberland. People with still spin his hits but he will never be in the conversation as a lyricist again.

Was he ever i the class of lyricist tho

If you watch interviews of og rappers do they ever mention drake. Cole and Kendrick get mentioned almost every interview, but ive never seen a rapper mention drake as one of the best of right now.

He a pop act.

Are you fucking kidding me? Every time he is criticized for his simpish behavior the response is always "true but he makes hits" or "yeah but his bars are Dope". Well they aren't his fucking bars.

The only clever line on that whole fucking song was that "my ex ask me where I'm moving, on to better things". Well Quentin fucking Miller was the author of that. You drake fans have to face up to that some day.

This is some grown man shit right here.

but did he write it.

ow this goes, drake fans?

you see h

thats being childish tho.... Ole I dont wanna believe ass niggas lol. And how Ironic if Jay the Big biter and swag stealer put the battery in Meek back over a business deal. Rap is WWF with the friends becoming enemies heel turn bullshit that be going on.

im more commenting on the bigger picture, people are acting like it wont matter if he has ghostwriters all over the place but its going to be repeatedly stated that hes a fraud. And more proof is on the way.

Dude been out too long and put out too much good music for yall to fall into this fraud talk. Its funny to me cuz when its other artist more likable that get called biters in the past it was dismissed. Its human nature tho to see what u want depending on the person. Drake put this out in what a day in a half? but out of spite folk wanna be like he aint write it tho. hilarity

have you ever heard of someone using reference tracks of other people and then completely ripping off their lyrics and flow?

Lil Kim.

between on Jcole´s albums some songs got more names in the writer credits than other, check the booklet today, and all is songs got more than one songwritter, and some the same and others different, so...

Can´t believe yall really falling in the hyperbole like that, been thru it too many times in music, specially hip hop, shit is all theatrics, don´t believe the hype...its good for some excitment in terms that we going to be getting some new diss tracks, thats bout all tho...

Producers get songwriting credits. Features get songwriting credits. and if samples are used, whoever wrote the song that was sampled get songwriting credits.

nah, not in this case, it was clearly defined, there was also a section for producers credit, so...

Nope they are put in both. Look at Jay-Z album. Im sure Timbo, and The Dream arent writing Jay-Z lyrics
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magna_Carta_Holy_Grail

Happened when Jay-Z on "I Just Wanna Love U" (i think...can't remember exactly at the moment). He spit BIG's lyrics at the beginning of the song and had to give BIG a writing credit b/c it was considered a sample, but the rules of song crediting and sampling dictate that everyone who got a writing credit on the original song gets a writing credit on the song doing the sampling. Thus, Mase got a writing credit on a song he had nothing to do with.

Lol @ that young, dumb nigga tryna break down Drake's bars like he spit some Lupe shit. These niggas need to get off Drake's dick. Shit was light. He gets a little credit for throwing his hat in the ring, but that's where it needs to end. Especially when the bars sound like they were written to the soundtrack for a damn soap opera.

People need to stop putting the cape on in trying to defend this waste of wax.

This shit was just like I thought would be: the Tevin Campbell equivalent to a "diss" song. Like this shit had a soft, gooey center, surrounded by a flaky, buttery crust. This dude literally made a song that was the visual equivalent of the Prince ice-grill on Chapelle's Show. LL Cool Drake got on the track and was out here like:

THIS is what passes for "full-contact" rap these days? Holy shit. I'm better off listening to Miles Davis or Charlie Parker or Ike Turner to get more badass music than this.

Not sure if you joking, but all three of those guys were some bad motherfuckers that was doing shit there way, running in the streets, fucking mad bitches, and openly saying how they hated white folks... at a time when espousing that would get you killed, all while making ground breaking music that broke all formulas at the time.

Majority of rappers dont have 1/10th the guts those dudes you mentioned have. Read miles autobio to get a taste of his life. Shit was crazy as fuck
