Emphatic nosign.

Kay Slay was the hottest mixtape DJ in the early 00s, before, or right around the time file sharing got popular.

I can remember copping Kay Slay mix tapes on 125th st circa 2002/03 and Kay Slay would have these exclusives with him yelling over the song. But he'd be getting these exclusives BEFORE the internet. And when these songs finally showed up on the internet, Kay Slay would be screaming over the songs. Basically people would cop Kay Slay tapes and upload the tracks to the internet with Kay Slay's tag all over the song.

Man the slay tapes had fire but right when u getting into the song all u would hear was the nigga yelling

"DJ K SLAY THE DRAMA KING AKA SMACK YOUR FAVORITE DJ"

A nigga would catch a semi heart attack and lose his hearing for a few because of it

His mixtape game was shitty till 06

Did you ever go to 125th st to cop a Kay SLay tape?

I'm telling you he had stuff before the internet got it. Before Hot 97, before MTV. Kay Slay was heavy in the streets. He was the Frank Lucas of the mixtape game. He had a new tape out every week and it would be all exclusives.

I grew up in SC

But every 5 days or so i was waitin on them exclusive Papoose tracks and freestyles

Is he dropping a new album or something? All three of his "albums" have been fairly wack. Hell the best one was More Than Just A DJ but that shit was mixed and mastered horribly. I remember that D-Block and Ray J track just cut off unexpectedly like 10 seconds too early.

I'm n that industry, and I'm from bx and I've been many many many many many places coppin tapes. Yes he had a new mixtape every week and exclusives, but exclusives from who? Only exclusives he got was papoose. His tapes was filled with garbage he just had so many of em. He couldn't touch clue or big mike

Clue used to have those Cam and Fab exclusives

And i first heard Joe Budden on a clue tape, Hot 16

Same with Jae Hood, i wanna say they were on the track together

Jae Hood feat. Hot 16 or something like that

I noticed nobody commented on the track tho

young chris one of the most under appreciated artist of all time..nigga been consistently putting out good music the whole time he been off the roc...everytime i type his name in youtube i hear some shit by him i never heard before, and it's always fire....
